Im in day 67 of Flowering. Im about 7 days beyond the recommended harvest day stated by the breader.
I can see some of the Trichomes are turning but most are still clear and milky. I could really use some input on this. One thing I did learn is that I shouldn't have waited so long to feed. I should have amended the soil on day 30 (total days) and again on day 40 (total days). Waiting too late to feed with nitrogen will delay Trichome development from what Ive read. I suspect that is what is happening here. I would love to hear your comments. I did smoke a small piece that was pulled to insect for trichomes a couple days ago. I was surprised on how smooth the smoke was. The high was really strong with just one toke. It was a bit much for me. Im looking more for a body stone that will help relieve anxiety and pain. That is why Im watching trichome development every couple days. I may have the wrong strain for my expected results. Eventually I will figure it out.
I let the harvest dry too long. I went ten days at 50% RH, 78 degrees temp in my grow tent. Way too hot. The RH in my jars was 40%. I placed Boveda 62% and a hydro stone in the two jars in an attempt to raise the RH. I ended up placing the jars in the shower to bring up the RH. That worked. After two weeks in the Jar, I have an RH of 55%. However the taste and effects are mostly gone. The take away from this is that its ok to cure when still slightly moist, but once its dried the harvest is toast.
