Well... the main reason I'm growing this girl is that (1) I like the taste better than any of the 420 brand products of high CBD construction that I tested last year, and (2) as a photoperiod plant the outdoor yield blows away the autoflower competition. I actually had to abandon one of the 2 seeds I planted as BOTH sprouted in the same container I threw them in... I had no intention of growing more than one anyway... but it's a nice testament to the viability of Seedsman seeds that I acquired a couple of years ago.

Repotted this girl into an intermediate container about 1 gallon in size for a few weeks. She will veg indoors in my tent with Kind K3 LED lights for a couple weeks until we're ready to move outdoors for the summer.

Starting to veg nicely in my tent using LED lighting at 18 hours per day presently. This girl will be moved outside by probably the summer solstice in a few weeks.

Decided to repot all my photoperiod plants from 2 quart to 2 gallon containers. Most of them were already rootbound. These will be repotted into their final containers in a couple weeks and moved outside around the summer solstice. Topped most of my photoperiod summer crop on June 9.

The photoperiod crop for the year is off to a nice start. Everybody was topped last week except for the baby gorilla, so they're growing new roots into the recent 2 gallon container transplant. In about a week everybody will get transplanted AGAIN into final containers and moved outdoors for the remainder of the summer.

Time to move this baby outside into her final summer home, which is a 10 gallon fabric pot. Tomorrow is the summer solstice so we are at max sunshine now, and we're coming out of a nasty 3 day heat wave which would have been a bad thing for this final transplant. Things should be a nice moderate 70 something for the next week or so. I'll have to go back and review my notes from the first time around with this varietal. I seem to remember she grows a bit spindly and will need support in her final stages. If my memory is correct I will put an upside down tomato cage over her in a week or two.

All 3 older photoperiod girls are starting to stretch incredibly since being moved outdoors for the summer and moved into their larger summer homes. C&C will need some trimming and a cage for later in life. Weather has been nice and moderate in the 70's all week. Decided to top the plant one final time at the 4 top-most locations and remove the lowest pair of branches on June 28. July 1 - Decided to trim off the lowest level pair of branches. Went back and looked at my original diary for this strain a couple years back and this girl is actually further developed than the original - and that one was quite bushy and slender at the same time. She'll still get a cage for later support in life but she won't have quite the wingspan, which is good for the other girls sharing the patio.

The weather has been quite nice for the last week or so. Highs in the low 70's and lows in the upper 50's. I consider these optimal temps for growing herb outdoors. A few hours of fog in the morning has probably been beneficial to the transition from indoors to outdoors. There's been enough wind to make everybodies stalks strong. We're ready for the summer. Grow baby grow. Cream & Cheese is unique to my current crop (besides the CBD factor) in that she grows long and slender and needs support in her final stages, which is one of the reasons I cut off her lowest pair of branches already (longer than a foot apiece) to get her to focus on growing up instead of sideways. Sometimes bushy is good. This is not one of those times IMHO because she'll end up 10 feet wide and she needs to share the patio.

We had a miniature hot spell last week with 3 days in a row in the high 80's, but other than that we have ideal temps in this coastal area of California, with daytime temps in the mid to upper 70's. I decided to put a cage on this girl today and it would have been a LOT easier if I did it last week when she was about 7" shorter. I only lost 2 smaller branches but she'll thank me later down the road. I remember the previous version of this strain I grew being not strong enough to hold up the buds at the end of life stage and needing extra support to keep the branches from rolling over on themselves. I'm also trying to cut down her wingspan, so to speak.

I'm amazed at how fast this girl is growing vertically. Glad I threw a cage over her head last week because she grew like 13" in the last week. She's recovered nicely from the minor mangling the cage made, I also kinda pulled in the center of the plant so she won't be quite as wide. This girl drinks like a fish too.

It's been unusually nice in this area of northern California this week. Temps in the mid-70's to low 80's. You can hardly tell that this girl has a large tomato cage lurking inside her for future structural support.

All the girls on the patio are flowering now. Seems like they all starting sprouting pistils about the same day. Weather has been beautiful the last week with highs in the low 80's and nights in the upper 50's. Not too much fog. This particular girl is still growing fast... like 8" last week. She's gonna set a height record for my yard before we're done.

This girl has turned into something of a monster. Maybe she was pissed I put that cage over her head - but that sure as hell turned horizontal growth into vertical. All the stalks that I fit into the uppermost rung of the tomato plant cage grew straight up to nice effect. There is a lotta stalk on this varietal - a lotta space between buds. I think I'm prepared for these babies fattening up - we'll see how things roll.

We seem to be enjoying some pristine growing weather these days. Highs in the low 80's or upper 70's. No unusual fire activity in my neck of the woods this year. I've got all the girls on 1.5 gallons of fluid per day presently.... just cruising along and fattening up.

Another week of beautiful weather. Temps in the upper 70s daytime. Actually added some stalks to restrain some of the lower branches on this girl. She's very slender, and when the buds start putting on weight the stalks just turn upside down with the weight. It's a sign she's getting toward the end. Getting pretty sticky at this point too.

Mother nature finally decided to turn up the heat this week and we've been pushing mid-90's for 2 days in a row after a fairly mild summer temperature-wise. The last time we hit 90 was in June for a couple days and that's it. Air quality has been getting a bit worse due to regional fires but they are very far away at this point. Just a haze that turns the sun red. Not like last summer when things got ugly. I checked the trichomes on this girl last week and was amazed at the amount of amber showing up so I decided it's time to pull the plug. She smells amazing - more pungent than any of the other girls on the patio, and she's quite sticky to boot. I flushed her today using up most of the water in my ph adjusted tank. We'll see how she comes outa the heat wave but I'll probably let her dry out and harvest her next week. Time to get this show on the road!

This was the first girl to ripen this summer on the patio with 3 other girls. One of the others is ready and will get flushed tomorrow and harvested next week. I'm a little surprised at how tall this girl grew. The one I grew a couple years ago was wider and less tall. That tomato cage I used for support may have had something to do with that. As summers go, this one was pretty mild. We only had about 4 or 5 days where the temps breached 90 degrees, so I had no difficulty keeping all the girls hydrated. Although there's plenty of fire action in the state, the bay area hasn't seen many ill effects this summer. Knock on cannabis. I spent about 60-90 minutes yanking fan leaves yesterday at sunset so I was a bit lazy this morning in that area. Took me about 2.5 hours to chop her up and wash her and do the initial dry and hang. Not sure she will dry enough before I need to harvest the next girl so I need to rethink my drying spots - build some space in my garage for the next wave to hang. I'll update the weights and other stuff later. Time to celebrate. 😎 ------------------------------------------------------------------ September 13 -> So oddly enough it turned out that the final bud weight came out within like 10 grams of the plant I grew 2 years ago - well over 9 ounces. Probably coulda squeezed some more out but there is a lotta "popcorn" buds in the end here after using the TrimBag. Bud size is not large but this is my only CBD-rich plant this summer so we save as much as we can and turn the rest into hash... which is the easiest way to make infused butter. I thought this plant was bigger but in reality the cage I put over her probably forced her to grow more vertical than horizontal. Saved me from using a bunch of individual branch supports in the end but it's hard to get the cage over her head if you don't do it early enough. This girl seems more fragrant than anything else I'm growing this summer.
