Feels good to be back, welcome to my 2021 Auto Garden!
Big thanks to @greenhouselab for this and most of my @fastbuds auto beens for this years garden. He is the solidest of solid guys and a great grower to boot, guy is also a hell of a fisherman!
Seeds were germinated via the paper towel method, first soaked for 24 hrs in water (just tap water) then in paper towel in unsealed ziplock bags for 2 days.
Back in the field we dug a shallow trench along the stone fence with the backhoe and from there I planted all my germed seeds.
I sprinkled 6 large handfuls of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2 of 2-8-4.
It’s been incredibly hot for this time of year so I’ve been back to water them most days, likely won’t be doing this after this first crucial week.
I’m going to call 2021-05-18 day 1 as that’s the day most of my Autos broke ground!
As for this strain in particular man oh man she appears to be showing colour already. I can’t wait to see how these do outside in Canada 🇨🇦 Let’s see this Strawberry Pie 🍓 reach for the sun!
We had five nights in Alberta at or below zero just before the May long weekend with one night of -3 C. Growdiaries minimum temp is 10 C. The plants survived and looked fine but they’re slow to recover and some are definitely dwarfed. I’ve culled some but also leaving some to see how they turn out.
@ButtersStotch, yeah it was two weeks after our usual last frost and I had lots of plants out. We’re restricted to a set 200 m2 area so I couldn’t just move them inside or something easy like that.
Cheers.
