Starting from feminized seed
Week 1
Day 1-7
Should have been 5 but one pulled a vanishing act in the scarifying cup
1 gal distilled water, 1/8tsp Superthrive, 1/4tsp Liquid Karma
Scarified and put them in a plastic cup of the liquid on the router for warmth
Seeds have all started to show root but still floating. A gentle tap to break surface tension and down they went to the bottom of the cup.
Put all 5 into starter pots (50/50 coco/perlite with a sprinkle of Mycorrhiza in the depression for the seed) and watered lightly with the starter mixture.
They're under the 270w 5000K Quantum boards.
Week 2
Day 8-14
Started a blend of the starter nutes and 50% Jack's 321
Day 11 the missing seed suddenly appeared under my desk so it's germinating and hopefully won't be too far behind her sisters.
Week 4
Day 22-28
The late starter is making great progress. Transplanted to their final 4 gal hempy buckets. I'm using Botanicare ReadyGro Moisture instead of my regular 50/50 coco/perlite mix. Based on other grow journals I've decided to top these as soon as the 3rd node is fully established.
Week 5
Day 29-35
The 4 older plants were topped at the end of last week 2 days after they were transplanted and are doing very well. The late started is coming along and I may be able to top it by the end of the week. All of the plants have great color and are growing well.
Day 32 … topped the last one today. These are going to be massive plants. I should be able to move them to the auto flower tent by the end of next week once the AvT are out.
Week 7
Day 43-49
Decided to LST them rather than use a SCROG. Finally figured out that I can use the elastic top of the paint strainers to hold the safety pins. So the girls are all getting gently spread out this week. Cleaned up a bit if useless growth at the bottom of the pants and trimmed so of the fan leaves for bterr light penetration.
Week 8
Day 50-56
LST continues … daily adjustment of the pipe cleaners and the buds are getting great light. Even with the bending they're 32 – 36” and doing great. Started pulling some fan leaves for better light / air penetration and ripening. 2 of the plants look like they'll be ready be the end of next week. 2 others will take a week longer, and the late started is about 2 weeks out.
Started flushing the 4 oldest plants. Looks like I'll harvest the first 2 by the end f the week. The plants have great structure and look like they'll have a good yield
This really should be weeks 10 - 12 .... but there's no way to do that.
Including the late bloomer, the harvest stretched over 2 weeks before all was said and done.
The strain was a pleasure to grow ... I will certainly do it again only the next time I'll start LST much sooner and only put 4 plants in the tent.
@Fast_Buds, Very pleased with this and the West Coast OG. This strain has great structure and should be a pleasure to harvest as well. My only suggestion is to get it to your US reps ... no one here seems to stock it.
