same seeds i grew last year and put a diary for. Lets see if i learned anything.
Grow medium is the same pro-mix herb and vegetable soil mix as last grow but added about two cups of cow manure and a 1/4cup of Golf Green organic 6-6-6 dry fertilizer. Saw no sign of over nutrients last time so adding a bit more this time.
My plan to top dress a couple tbl spoons of that fertilizer 3-4 weeks in if plant seems happy still.
last time used a 150w grow star UFO w/cob and while it got the job done this time will be using a Grow Star 1000w led. Came to realize that bud size and density was the worse part of my last grow so this light while still extreme budget($65) should be far superior for bud production.
2x2x4 tiny tent with a small clip on fan is it for the rest of equipment.
As well will be more aggressive spreading it out via LST.
was less abusive of the seadling this time as last grow i moved the light height when seadling was young and pretty sure that was a minor set back. plant is a bit larger this time at same age.
LST started and cut off the one Leaf blocking the middle from light.
growing like a stink, between the different light and added nutrients seeing increased growth this time already. tied down a couple more of the new shoots and pruned out maybe 3 leaves that where blocking light to new nodes. end of week now and look to be much better at building a canopy with this grow.
well guess i will add topping to the list of things done to this plant, but it was unintentional. My plan to be aggressive with LST was a little to aggressive and the main top snapped off yesterday. Does not appear to be in flower yet so don't think it is a big deal. Still have 6 quality top locations and 2 more i think could still join in. as well top dressed a bit of organic dry nutrients and noticed some tips browning so no more added nuitrients seems my initial mix was just right. actually seing this as a win as now i know where the line is. expect flowering to start within the week based on last time with one of these seeds.
End of the week and flowering has begun and plant looks well even after the minor abuse at beginning of the week. looks like eight decent tops will come out.
still some edge of leaf burning. no more nutrients and lifted the pot of the ground witj a wire rack to let more air through bottom in case of root rot. though flowers are growing and it is stretching so think it is okay.
thinking maybe a week to go, hard to say plant is healthier than my last grow of these seeds and looks like it will take a week or to longer. bigger plant and bigger buds so not complaining. going to just water and no added nutrients now.
