Got my first tent set up. Super basic. Using a LAGarden 4x3x5.8ft 2in1 tent (3x3)(1x3), Maxsisun 450w dimmable LED lamp, cheap $20 inline fan, Oregon's Only Nectar for the Gods #4 Soil, and peat pots. Planted 2 Chem 4, Blue Dream and 3 random seeds. Using bag seeds for my first go. I'll use legit seeds or clones next time. Just misting soil with tap water treated with Tetra BettaSafe to remove chloramine. Thinking of adding a PUR or Brita filter in the next couple days to take care of the rest when I start really watering and feeding. Light is about 32" above pots. 80% veg 30% bloom
Day 3 - Seeds started popping! 4 (almost 5) of 6. Just got the Oregon's Only Nectar for the Gods sample system in the mail. Wondering how soon to start feeding. I believe the soil is already amended and ready to feed for a month or so. Still using a water bottle to keep misting soil throughout the day.
Day 5 - Started the first feeding. 1/2 a tsp to a little under a half gallon of water. Didn't need Olympus Up as ph was right at 6.3. Gave the 4 popped seedling a good watering and soaked the bottom of the peat pots on both popped and the non popped seed. Just a little feed on top of non popped.
Day 6 - Transplanted the 4 plants to larger containers. Gave them a generous soaking of tea (provided by Green Coast Hydroponics) with an addition of 2/3 of a tsp of Zeus Juice added to the gallon of tea. Gave the 2 that haven't come up a soak from the bottom of tea and a little on top. Still waiting on those...
Increased the light to 100 veg and 50 bloom.
Day 8 - Since I didn't plan ahead enough, the transplanted plants are in different containers. The only one in a peat pot is already completely dry so I went ahead and fed it today. Gave it the early veg schedule, so full nutes. This may end up to be a bit annoying since I'm on different schedules now until i transplant again to the 5 g fabric pots. Was going to just moisten soil with tap water but didn't know what to use to lower the ph of the water (Don't have Hades Down). Might see if I can just add a little Hurculean Harvest or one of the other NFTG to slightly lower ph. Something light other than a full feeding. I raised the plants a little today as well.
Day 10 - Watered (fed) everything today. So full nutrient schedule. Thats the second feed on the peat pot. Messed up and went a little light on the HH this round. Hope they have enough calcium with the BK I added.
Day 12 - Leaving for 3 days, so I fed (early veg) the the peat pot again to keep moist. The others are good for about 4 days before they dry out so I will feed everything again when I get back.
Day 15 - Just got back gave everything a full feeding (mid veg) added a little URB in there as well. Not as much as recommended but I will put more in when I transplant to 5 gal.
Light Scheldule got bumped to up to 19:40 on 4:20 off.
Day 17 - Fed the peat pot again as it was dry.
Day 19 - Transplant day. Moved to 5 gal fabric pots. Gave them a total of 2 gal of water with 1T/g of Gaia Mania 1t/g of Zues Juice and 15ml/g of URB natural. Roots looked good. Probably could have waited another couple days. But better sooner than later. I ran out of soil (oops) so made do with what I had. Not ideal but it works. Needed a few more scoops.
Day 20 - Started training a little using LST. Not exactly sure what I'm doing but I think I get the idea. Just open the thing up (any way) to get more light.
Day 21 - Went back on the LST for now. Let em back up and topped or fimmed the tops.
Day 24 - Slow growth so far. Roots growing hopefully. May have had wind burn problems as fan was blowing directly on plants. Angled fan to side of tent and hopefully that will help. Gave a full feed today and soaked the whole planter. About 10% runoff. 3 days since I topped/fimmed and just cleared out some fan leaves to get some more light to the lower branches.
Day 27 - Raised the light up a little as with the new growth they were about 19" away from the light. Rotated them as well. Will start LST in next few days.
Day 29 - LST
Kind of lost track of the journal. Busy week.
Day 33 - I've been doing some LST and light trimming of fan leaves. Fed on Thursday of this week. Feeding about 1 time per week. Looking pretty good. Maybe a little nute burn on the tips of the Chem 4 and Blue Dream. Thinking of switching to flower in the next week.
Day 34 - Definitely have some sort of burn problem. Hoping its just lights. Noticed the lights were only 18 inches above plants. LED instructions recommend 24"-28". Guess i was a little too close. I raised it to 26". Could be too much feed as soil was already amended. We'll find out... Hopefully it stops.
Day 35 - Burning has seemed to have stopped. Must have been the light. Readjusted LST and topped the lower branches. Getting ready to flip tomorrow or next day.
Day 36 - Broke a branch somewhere in training on one of the randoms. Used scotch tape to lightly secure it (it's what I had). Hope it makes it. I'm sure it will. Have a tri tip on the Blue Dream! That will be fun to watch. Haven't watered yet. Its been over a week now I think. Maybe do it tomorrow. Didn't flip to flower yet. Gonna give it a week to let it recover a bit from topping.
Day 38 - Gave it 2 gallons of feed today. Light feeding. Planning on giving it a good one next week before i leave for a week. So flip and feed next week. I've been sticking to the recommended schedule from Oregon's Only NFTG. The nute ratio on this app keeps changing stuff around. No URB this time as I am about out.
Day 41 - Looking like trichomes starting on new growth of Chem4 and 2 mystery seeds. None for the Blue Dream. Not sure if this is normal. Have been gradually upping the red on the light by 10 a day.
Day 42 - Flipped to 12/12 today! Here we go. I am leaving for a 5 days today so I gave them 3 gal of feed between all 4, it was a little early but wanted to make sure they didn't dry out and try to keep the humidity up while I'm gone. Cleaned it up a bit and uncovered some bud sites.
Again... Nutes are all jacked up on the app and wont show correct amount.
Day 48 - 4 gallons of feed today. Defoliated some more today as well. Got rid of the garbage. Little more LST to keep the tops down. Snapped another top today.
Day 49 - Had to cut the top of one I snapped. It didn't make it. One of the randoms is showing signs of female. The chem4 is showing signs of male. And two are still to early to tell. Waiting on the Chem4, they're too small to tell 100%. They're growing fast. Raised the light back up to 24" away.
Day 51 - Chem4 and one of the Random Bag seeds were male. They got the chop today. Too bad. I was looking forward to that Chem4. More room for the two girls left (Blue Dream and Random Bag Seed). Did some LST to stretch it out horizontally a bit. Lots of bud sites on the RBS!
Day 52 - Full soak and feed today. Recovering well from training.
Day 57 - Full feed today. Cleared out fan leaves from blocking bud sites. Not much to report. Overall looking good. Just waiting for those buds to get big!
Day 62 - Fed 2 gallon today. Went a little lighter on nutes. Backed off the BK about 5ml/g. Huge Defoliation today!
Day 65 - Fed some tea finally. Only 2nd tea so far.
Day 69 - Full feed. 3 gallons. Added lots of new nutes! Bouncing back pretty well from the defoliation. Picked off bud site blocking fan leaves and small new growth.
Day 75 - Full Feed. 3 gallons. The RBS is really packing on the trics. The Blue Dream buds are looking great! The water is going through the pot really fast on the RBS. Not sure what that means. Hope its nothing. The Hygia's Hydration seemed to really help soften the soil.
Growing Great. App on Android isn't working so wasn't able to update. Definitely telling a difference in new nutes. Oil production like crazy. Check next week! Fed once this week 3 gallons of feed.
Let me know if you guys would like some pics from a different angle or something too!
Lots happened. Did a little LST on the RBS cause the colas were getting pretty tall compared to the rest of the tent. Found some bananas on the Blue Dream. Ugh oh. I plucked them and am hoping for the best.
If I understand, you're doing your first grow with an unknown strain , you don't even know if it is going to be stable, and what's the flowering period... ?
You're good for driving a NASCAR at night with no lights 😊
Man you did a great job on your topping and LST. You have the makings of a top-rate SCROG. I don't know if you even need to put a screen down though. All of those bud sites are in optimal position for massive flowering!👌👏👏👏
Thanks! I usually do some kind of scrog outside, but I think I'm just gonna let these ladies go. I've been controlling them with the ties and safety pins and that seems to be doing pretty well. I feel like I have a little more contol over the branches and I like being able to completely remove the plants from the tent. I was playing with the idea of doing an individual scrog in each planter if I was going to do anything. But I'm feeling lazy. Haha. And I just dont think they need it. Sometimes it's nice having more control over a small plant than monsters outdoors. They can become a little overwhelming. But at the same time, can be little less hands on...
Yeah too bad about Chemdawg. Any idea what the female bagseed is? Both plants look very similar.
You've really prepped these plants well for flowering. Now its time to let them go wild.
I used Nectar's sample pack on my last grow. I liked it. I'm using it on my two current plants as well. It's a little difficult to use on an auto. You don't have as much control.
@BlazedBeast, Thanks a lot for link! That was a lot of great information. I didn't understand the comments about Bloom Khaos though. It was kinda oddly written. I'm using Bloom as a foliar feed right now. I'm undecided whether to use it at the same time as I water/Feed, or the next day.
@Quexos,
No not yet. I'll have a better idea when it grows out a bit more or when I smoke it. Yeah, I'm a big fan the the NFTG! We've been using it outdoors for quite some time now and always see amazing results. Once you start getting used to it, you can dial it in a bit more. Those are just suggested ratios. If you haven't checked it out yet and want to continue with the NFTG, I would recommend checking this out. It gives a great breakdown of the product.

I just picked them up at the grow shop. GreenCoast Hydro is the place I've been going lately. You can order them online too. I think they ordered them in from sunlightsupply I think I'm using the 14" riser for a 5 gal fabric pot (12")
3 known strains ((2) Chem 4 and (1) Blue Dream, stability unknown) and 3 unknown. All bag seeds. Probably just gonna veg for 3 weeks or so and throw into flower. Figured I wouldn't use nice stuff for my first run, just in case. We'll see who germinates and what happens. Will use known genetics with better stability next time. Starting more than I need in case some don't pop. This is more of a hobby with a bonus than critical growing. I have outdoor growing experience but have never done an indoor grow.
@BlazedBeast,in the 90's bagseeds could be surprising, but now as most of the weed comes from Feminised or Auto's there's a high probability of growing hermies ...
It isn't that easy to grow good cannabis , you could have put more chances on your side with trusted genetics if you see what I mean...
