Continuing to prune off the lower leaves as the look dead, also some leaves starting to show what I think is nute burn on the tips so gonna cut back a bit on the nutes. Lovely smell coming off them :)

Grow Questions

I have discovered thrips on one of my plants and am unsure what, if anything to do about it. Is it safe to treat it with anything at this stage of flowering? Will they destroy the plants if I leave them? Any advice would be wonderful!!

Hey man, sorry to hear about that. Is it def thrips you seen the bugs? Wouldn’t personally advise spraying anything on your girls now. Neem oil would have been great before flower I’m not familiar with vaping it but I wouldnt touch my buds with it now. It looks like you have a K deficiency it’s why your buds could have taken so long to develop the withered looking tips can be K def or lock out. It can look like nutrient burn. For the thrips you can do 2 things, leave them and do a bud wash you can find out how to do this online too much explain here. Or you can get some Amblyseius “defender pests” they hunt and eat thrips. You would also have to cover your soil in either sand or perlite a thick layer so nothing can survive in the soil. Because the last step is could reinvigorate for the rest of flower if you want to that is. You make up a H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) solution and feed it to your plants, this will kill anything in your soil. This could take 2-3 weeks to sort out if you act fast.

You leaf tips do look you have a little nute burn. I experienced it with my Auto Flowers. Once you go with water only, they won't heal, but it won't get worse. And the plants will just continue to grow and develop as if nothing happened.

@Ashbash, I would stop adding nutes, just water. I'm sure there are more than enough in the soil to keep her going until the full on flush.

Thanks man, I appreciate the input!do you reckon I should cut the nutes all together for now, or see if it progresses? I've stopped the grow formula, and that seems to have helped a little bit I think they're still burning a little.

@Ashbash, I know what you mean. I can be dead sober, and I will just stare at them for long periods of time. 😄

Thanks mate, I sure hope that's the case! I've largely just left them alone (except all the hours spent sitting watching them lol). I planned to do some LST but never did it in the end. Round 2 is calling lol, hopefully will look better. I would plant them now but as you may see in the picture......not much room lol.

I thought I had two weeks to go and I see you're at week 14 and still growing!

I think it may be because of my low light power/low levels of nutrients. Its slow going but it means I wake up to that lovely smell every day. Tangie is definitely a slower grower but seems to be bulking up more. I'm sure you'll be there before week 14; yours are looking more advanced than mine did at week 9.

Thanks. Quick disclaimer, I accidentally dropped a pc fan on the stardawg plant when it was young :( It messed up a few fan leaves and stunted it for a few days so I don't think it'll reach its potential on this run unfortunately
