pheverone Put the Scrog nets in place this week and spread them across the net. Had a bit of a mess up with my timer, It didn't switch from 18/6 to 12/12 so I had a week of extra veg time I hadn't anticipated but its no big deal just means girls will finish even bigger. I have had problems leaving them this late in veg with certain strains getting way to lanky and stretch to close to the HPS 1000w I used to use but now that I had switched to LED's that wont be as much of a problem as you can slam the LED's down as close as 8inches from the tops. Also that issue with big stretch is strain dependant, the "Orange Sherbert" is a much more bushy Indica style. So Week 2 of flower is actually just week 1 now. I cant find a way to edit that part of the diary, still getting the hang of this website ✌️

pheverone Heavy defoliation under the canopy and then a couple of days recovery time before I stripped the big fan leaves from above the canopy to prevent the bud sites getting shaded out. Nice airy open canopy now. With this strain in particular you cant take the defoliation to far especially under the LED it seems, tons of growth happening under the LED's really impressed so far. If the buds grow with the same vigour as the vegetation then I am in for a personal best this run.

pheverone Gave them their 3rd and final heavy defoliation this week. Had lots of useless side branching that will just shadow out the good stuff and cause them to not ripen properly, a lot of this growth was due to the unintended extra 10 days they had in VEG before I noticed the timer wasn't doing what I asked it to do, just one of those things. Always a surprise in the grow room no matter how much you try to prepare and problem solve. I also had an air line manifold blow out this week which was very strange to see. Caught it early so girls didn't go without air for to long and I have 2 air pumps running so 1 going down is only a minor issue but still a great example of the random mishaps that occur when growing. If its one thing that experience has taught me its that less is more when it comes to how many colas you try to fit into a space. Do to many and you'll just end up with a load of mids, battling humidity problems and stress of keeping tons of half ripe colas falling all over onto each other come week 6 or 7. Everything is going great so far, no issues, although I have noticed some of the white hairs on the budlets have slight ginger tops (only a very small few) I have read in the past that this can be a sign of stress and potentially they might flip the hermie but I've done nothing to stress them so I am hoping this is just a abnormality from growing under LED. Boosted the nutrients up to 1000PPM now to let them feed heavy and pump those buds up. Hope you enjoy watching my grow and thank you all for the lovely comments and feedback, it is much appreciated ✌️

pheverone All the hard work is done in regard to defoliation and training, this next stage is my favourite, watching them pack on weight. Another week, another air manifold broken. Using these for a couple of years and both broke in the same week. I have noticed that the lights tend to break down plastic parts and air hoses after awhile.
