Tuesday, June 29: I got excited and purchased the Mars sp3000. I plan to grow 3 autos in 3 gallon fabric pots this go around. I have the seeds in paper towels and will veg under the ts600.
7/23 - (playing Taps in the background) I pulled Northern Lights and AK and put them in the trash. My overwatering was too much for AK and it looks like she started bud rot (leaf started turning brown). As for Northern Lights, I think she would have made it. Her stem was very strong and her roots stayed in the ground when I pulled her. She was very shriveled and I probably stunted her. Sad day indeed.
I left Critical Purple as she looks good (she was overwatered too but seems more resilient than the others), but I may have stunted her. I got the fan on her and am trying to dry her pot out.
To get over my distraught, I’m germinating a Tangerine Dream from Growers Choice. I plan to reuse the AK and NL soil and have put it into a 5 gallon fabric pot. Just waiting for TD to pop. This time I plan to not go crazy with the H2O.
Lost the other 2 but critical purple is still with us due to overwatering and lights. I’m not sure if I messed CP up in the long run but I see new growth so I’m hopeful. I lowered the light intensity to 50% - 22” above the canopy. The SP3k is no joke. I had it up to 75% but it was too strong for young plants. Now I know.
