Sour_Cherries Weirdo 1 is coming right along. She is stretching - almost as tall as the GC next to her. I had to prune her pretty aggressively today, as she is overlapping with the sunflowers flanking her and the GC behind her. Her foliage has always been the brightest, lightest green and the softest out of all the plants. Still is. I'm really excited about her flowering. Very glad I didn't trash her when she was lagging so far behind the others.

Sour_Cherries SD has exploded with budlets this week. Every branch has filled out with tons of buds. Branches have hardened up. She looks to have surpassed the bagged GC. I've noticed that like the two bagged GC, she has "duck feet" leaves - 3 fingers. From the little I've found about this, there are three options:
1. Genetic trait. My SD doesn't share genetics with my GCs.
2. Stress response to heat or something else.
3. Concentration moves to creating flowers, rather than creating five-fingered leaves. - This is the one that I think fits. All eight plants were hit with powdery mildew, all have been dealing with sporadic bouts of extreme heat. My BDs have been mercilessly pruned by me to alleviate the mildew growth and because they're enormous, but none of the other six plants are showing three-fingered leaves.
