I used glass of water, and when the seeds are submerged, i place them carefully in a little green house and Papel towel + heating mat. It worked fine for only two of three seeds. I prepared my grow room for 4 seeds (3 GG and 1 Northern Light( for a next guide ;) ), so i later used the extra pot for plant companionship with peppermint to camouflage the smell and for fun. I don't use root booster but i think it's recommanded. I prepared my pots with indoor potting soil mixed with vermiculite (30%). It's worked fine, but later i will use BioBizz All Mix (especially potting soil for Cannabis).
Nothing special for this weeks, except i have one who grow up quickly and one more slower, but nothing alarming. Let time and mother nature do her work.
Good growth, Small Watering, and patience. I don't feed them for now with fertilizer, because they will feed on what the earth already contains to begin with.
I had potting soil fly infestation... so I treat them with black soap for the larvae, sticky cardboard for adult, then later with sand to eradicate these beasts. It work well, maybe i watered a little to much. Be careful to that!
I started to feed them with organic fertilizers from the biobizz brand (bio grow, bio bloom, top max) by following their usage table to the letter (by under dosing a little)
I do my topping and my lst 3 days after, my lst was not very good but i improved my technics a few days after. I thinks the "secret" is to tilt the plant as far as possible, but I was too afraid to break it. I made my first pinch 2 days after for boost the growth. Don't stress too much the plants with doing all at the same time
Flowering don't want to come, be patient, so i decide to change de specter (full), and i let them grow at their own pace, for now.
At C+38 ( after one more week in growing) i decide to change my strategy, i will force them to go in bloom/flowering, by changing the duration of the light cycle 18/6 to 12/12.
The Bloom started. After changing the specter, then change the timer, I feel the pistils coming, finally... I was patient following their rhythms and everything is going well
I continue to feed them well, but a real gap (15-20 cm on average) is widening in the growth of my two plants, hence their names, one is developing very well and the other is struggling a bit, but without real problems, just a smaller size. I do my second pinch these week, to boost their good development. My smallest starts to do its heads, at its own pace ^^
Continue to feed them well, well ventilated, and as during all their growth, check the environmental parameters for their best. I made cuttings of my mint in order to multiply it, with cutting hormone for boost, and for later, give gifts ;).
I decided to remove my lavanda because even if I appreciate the smell, it made too many shavings when I did the slightest manipulation. Tips: Mint is perfect for companionship ;)
Delicate and a little late setting up of a ScrOG net that I have just received in order to promote their end of growth.
The pistils are starting to turn brown, and the heads are really getting bigger, the trichomes are translucent. The large plant has taken one to two weeks ahead of the others, I am waiting for its trichomes to turn milky white, then 10-20% amber and the harvest of the first will begin, the end begins for this harvest :)
Abundant watering, I don't use any more fertilizer, the trichomes are milky white for the big one, the trichomes of the small one are 80% translucent and 20% milky white, I will harvest the two plants when the ratio is 10-20% brown 80-90 milky white.
the first harvest for the big start, I harvested, manicured, then put to dry the branches hooked by the bottom, the rest of the heads not being able to be dried in this way are stored in a small bowl that I would stir from time to time. I have not weighed yet, I will update when the heads are dry within one to two short weeks, i'm very happy now ;)
