This is actually the end of week 9. 72 days from germination, thinking about 2 more weeks and the more developed one will be ready. Going to start the flush on Monday with her. The smaller one is still probably a month out, but I will let her fully develop and dry the larger one in a different location.
Things (finally) started to stink this week. Started the flush on Tuesday, hoping next Thursday will be the day I shut the lights off on her and Friday will be harvest day! About 50% of the trichomes are cloudy at this point, so the original 84 day timeline seems pretty accurate!
What an amazing haul! I did not expect nearly that much. I thought I was just going to have to use the little plant for concentrates but she really came though! Will post next week an official "harvest" with the dry weight but I'm pretty surprised by the volume!
For my first ever growing experience, I am very happy with the results. The smaller plant was stunted from germination, which was a bummer because I had to harvest it earlier than I wanted. I ended up getting about 1.5 ounces out of it, but had to wet trim and dry on a rack so the smell or density is nowhere near that of the buds from the larger plant. Made a rookie mistake and let half of the bigger plant dry a bit too much, so it kind of fell apart and I ended up with a TON of smaller buds. As mentioned, the smell and density of these nugs is amazing! I compared them to flowers from my local dispensary (albeit mid-shelf quality) and it was definitely higher quality! Looking forward to finishing the cure and fully testing it out. I will be starting my next grow in September, adding an additional 100w Spiderfarmer light, so hopefully I will be starting my second diary in a month or so! Thanks everyone! Got a lot of tips from a seasoned grower, but so far I'm really happy with it. The smaller plant has had a few setbacks but honestly I'm planning on just leaving her in the tent for a couple of weeks longer than the bigger one. I'm hoping about 2-3 more weeks and the more developed plant should be ready harvest! The colas seem to be gaining more mass every day now, it's really exciting to see!!!!
