Germination
First, I germinated some seeds on paper towels just out of curiosity. To my surprise, all four seeds sprouted on July 17th and so began a new hobby. That same day I placed the sprouts in an improvised glass vase, which I later judged to be small and they would get realally hot in the sun. So, on July 24th I moved the small plants to a bigger plastic pot. After this transplant, only two of the four plants became successful. I started putting them in the sun from the beginning, I believe they stayed somewhere between 8-9 hours a day.

This second week, I had many questions about plant growth. I started watering enough every day to keep the soil moist, without soaking. I kept the plants in direct sun for about 9 hours a day (where I live is a tropical country close to the equator, strong sun all day long). This week the plants went from 2 to 4 leaves each. Very cute. The parameters that I entered in the diary are all estimated, as everything has been very empirical.

This week I had to travel for three days (from July 30th to August 1st) and the plants were not watered. However, I gave it a generous wet before leaving and left it out for the entire period. When I arrived on August 2nd, there were many new leaves, the plants grew significantly. Some leaves dried at the ends, I believe due to the lack of water. However the others seem fine.

This week I was a little worried because some leaves, especially the older ones, started to dry and others turned faintly yellow. A friend told me it could be lack of nutrients, which makes sense since I used substrate from my own backyard. Despite that they grow a lot, every day new leaves are born and now a few things near the stem, which should be good. They are having about 8-9 hours of very very strong sun. He advised me to switch to a composition mixed with earthworm humus and bone meal, which I did today. I hope they are okay. Does anyone have any tips? Cheers

🤔😬. Yeah, do a slurry test of the ph of the soil…. I find that top soil or black dirt to be too “muddy” for cannabis—- making the tooth suffocate when wet and this hurting the plant, yield, etc. Top grade “cannabis” soil is worth its premium. It allows the plants to dry back, breathe, and better uptake of nutrients…. Not aure where you live, but the quality of the ground can vary greatly! Not too late to give her proper shoes! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨
