Hey there Grow Mates. Last year was a bust. I'm still a newbie, and have already had some success with a Mexican Airlines autoflower by 2Fast4Buds. This diary though is all about Acapulco Gold feminized from Barney's Farm. I'm starting the diary late at week 15. In the pictures, you can see the progress. This morning I did something very risking, and mainlined the plant again for the third time. I think I've got another month before dusk begins earlier and flowering begins. It was nearly a meter high with 18 main lines before I cut her. I hope she survives.
In terms of process, I started her indooors on April 1, 2021. I planted her outside April 11th in a 5 gallon fabric pot. I used Mother Earth Coco+Perlite and amended her with E.B. Stone Sure Start fertilizer. She is on daily drip, and I also deep soak her once per week. Each week, she gets a tablespoon of a custom blend of 75% Dr. Earth Premium Gold (4-4-4) and 25% Dr. Earth Flower Girl (3-9-4). I grind the fertilizer using an old coffee grinder thinking it will help the plant more easily access the nutrients. Once she begins to bloom, I will reverse the ratio.
Plant looks great man, beautiful mainlining. Considering the yellowing leaves, if they go slowly yellow the plant is using them as nutrients, that's nothing to bad but she's a big girl and can probably use some more nutrients π I would give the same amount of nutrients but every week instead of 2. Don't overwater her though cause that can cause yellowing too but it would be accompanied with a droopy looking plant and this pretty girl is praying up to the skyππ just a good watering every week untill water comes out of pot. If she needs more she will tell by the soil drying out quick. And check the PH of drainage water cause in flowering nutrients lockouts are more problematic. Anywhere between 5,9 and 6,5 is perfect.
Happy growing buddy ππ
