My first grow! Sorry about the photos with the grow lights on. It's all I took for my self notes but I will start taking photos under white light for the purposes of this diary.
7/1 - Seeds in a glass of pH 6.5 bottled water for 16 hours.
7/2 - Pour seeds on to moist paper towel folded over on itself twice.
7/4 - seeds have 1/4" to 1/2" taproot.
7/5 - seeds planted into presoaked soil (pH 6.5 bottled water) in solo cups with some rocks on the bottom with holes for drainage. LED light hasn't arrived yet, so they get the lamp treatment which is hopefully better than NO light.
7/6 - LED light arrives and goes on immediately in veg mode for the babes. 49cm height. 21°C. Spritz 'em w/ water and seeds pop off.
7/7 - move light up to 60cm distance as I think it was too close. Cut holes in sides of solo cup because this soil seems to stay wet.
7/8 - looking good
7/9 - first watering - 100mL each of pH 6.5 bottled water
7/10 and 7/11 - try not to look at them every 2 min
7/12 - WATER with 33mL of pH 6.5 filtered water mixed with 0.1mL / 500mL nutrients (General Hydroponics Micro, Gro and Bloom)
7/13 - growing and be patient
7/14 - WATER with 33mL of pH 6.5 filtered water mixed with 0.1mL / 500mL nutrients (General Hydroponics Micro, Gro and Bloom)
7/15 - uneventful, go babies go
7/16 - looking good I think
7/17 - trying not to watch them too much
7/18 - WATER with 30mL of pH 6.5 filtered water with 0.1mL nutes / 500mL water mix
7/19 - bloom and veg lights today
7/20 - bloom and veg lights today for half day. WATER with 30mL of pH 6.5 filtered water with 0.1mL nutes / 500mL water mix.
7/21 - Big day today:
- The babies moved into the grow tent (which just arrived)
- The babies got transplanted into their 3 gal pots; one with Sunshine Mix 4 and one with ProMix - let's see who wins! Pre-soaked the Sunshine Mix 4 with nutrient solution below prior to transplant. ProMix received no pre-soak.
- After transplant, WATER both with 175mL of 0.16 mL / 500 mL nutrient water (GH FloraMicro, Gro and Bloom and 0.5 mL / 500 mL CalMag)
- ProMix plant will only receive filtered pH balanced water after this and Sunshine Mix 4 plant will continue to get the nutrient solution.

Extra notes: The soil they were initially planted in takes much longer to dry than the Sunshine Mix which was worrying me in intial watering stages so just took it easy. Decided to do the rings progressively larger each time I watered going forward until I hit a ring the size of the bag.
7/24 - Ventilation day was a big day. Setup is such that bottom right square vent is half open, and it draws the air toward the top left of the tent to get a cross breeze. Also ended up putting a fan inside here but I need to get a proper oscillating fan that will clip to the poles inside the tent.
