Decided to try out Think Different from Dutch Passion Seed Company as the reviews and reputation of both are outstanding. I also love the little tin they come in.
Started germination on the 26th of July. I used the cotton pad method and all three were successful. I have moved them to the airpots now and they are coming along quite nicely.
Moved the seeds to the final grow airpots on the 29th and they have all taken to the media nicely. The first true leaf sets are developing and so far they look healthy.
I started counting the days from the day they went into the grow medium and have labelled each plant.
All three plants are looking healthy and happy. Leaf sets are forming, theyy are a little bit taller and they have grown in breadth quite considerably since last week.
All three plants are growing very well. So far i am impressed with them. There is a slight size difference between the three of them so it will be interesting to see how it plays out in the long run.
Light LST continues as i tie the main stem away from vertical.
They seem to have stagnated in their growth over the past few days. Not sure what has caused it as they otherwise look healthy.
Week 6 and they've definitely started to flower. Plant 2 has started to stretch and all plants are looking happy at the moment. A bit of an unexpected heatwave in the UK at the moment so hopefully they wont be too stressed.
After being away for 10 days i returned to find my plants a little droopy with dry pots and some yellow bottom leaves. I gave them a bit of water just to rehydrate them and then started feeding them properly. The container of water i left was empty but still damp at the bottom (not airtight) so i figure either they weren't getting enough water for the whole time or they didn't get watered for the last couple of days. Either way they have shot up and look really healthy now with many budlets formed. I'm going to give them a few days to get back to full strength and then trim some of the foliage.
Finally some pictures. It's amazing how fast a few weeks passes without you even realising. I'm about to start to flush them and will harvest them next week but i'm torn after trying to look at the trichomes.
I'm tempted to harvest them at different times as plant #3 looks a lot more purple than plant #1.
I've taken a selection of pics using my magnifier but it's difficult to get good pics and i'n not 100% sure the trichomes are cloudy or amber.
The grow was simple and the plants were very resistant. They put up with all of the inadvertent stress i put them under when i went away and they dried out slightly.
Haven't had a chance to smoke it as it's still curing but my tolerence is that low i imagine it'll knock me on my arse like everything else does😁
Loved growing this strain. It was a pleasure and yielded quite a good amount.
I was going away for a week the day i harvested them so i decided to just hang them and let them dry in the tent. I usually wet trim them and dry them but i actually like how these turned out. They smell a lot less "grassy" than when i wet trim but i have to admit trimming them when they are dry was much harder and the buds do not look as nice as a wet trimmed bud. But hey, it all smokes the same right😁
