This is the last week I’m attending the farm. I have to move abroad and abandon the site. 6 out of 20 plants survived the frosts to this stage. These plants showed extreme resilience and despite a lot of locust and grasshopper damage they survived although their growth was greatly hindered by that. The biggest plant have shown its sex and it is a female. The other plants are extremely pugnant at this stage as it is the characteristic of the plants in this area. I gave the plants the last water plentifully. hopefully they will manage for the rest of summer and next year when I come back the flowers and fruits are still there. And protected by the freezing winter and autumn.
