This will be my first indoor grow! I built a stealth closet with a 60W LED light. To test it, I chose a very fast strain: Quick One from Royal Queen Seeds. I used their Easy Start kit to germinate the seeds. The germination was on the windowsill, but afterwards they went into the cabinet.
The first 2 weeks have passed in my new closet and they are growing just fine! I will lower the light a bit from now on and see how they react. The closet is almost finished, still need to fix the light leaking.
This week went really well! I'm impressed by how quickly they grow under the 50W light! I did some LST to keep them low. Feeding them with RQS Grow tablets with every watering.
The plants are not doing well at all. They look deficient in nutrients even though I am feeding them with every watering. I also feel like the growing period of Quick One is so quick (haha, what a surprise..) that it's very unforgiving for mistakes such as a nutrient deficiency. My hopes are not very high for these 2 plants, but I will keep growing them, and see what it brings.
They are still not doing well. Almost feel ashamed to post these pictures, but I guess it's better to learn from your mistakes than to hide them.
One plant is stretching like crazy while the other has stayed compact and short, they are now 50cm and 25cm. I feed them with every watering with RQS bloom tablets and with some grow fertilizer sometimes as they look nitrogen deficient. Might try some cal-mag this week.
This week I did not feed them after being given some advice, turns out I was overfeeding these poor plants. Now they are recovering and looking a lot better. The short one is growing some decent buds while the tall one is a bit skinny. Because the flowering duration is so short, I am afraid the harvest will be very meagre, as there is a small margin for mistakes. The plants are smelling quite nice now.
A good week of growth, nothing special happened really. I am not giving them any more nutrients, only water the last few weeks. The fat/short one is getting nice buds, the tall one is still very skinny.
The short one is looking good, with a nice, big cola (for her size). Some pistils are turning brown now. The tall one looks like she is behind a couple of weeks. Many yellow, spotted leaves fell off.
The short one is fat, sticky, and smelly, just how we like them! ;) This is the last week for the short one before I chop her. The tall one still needs to grow, as the buds are still full of white pistils and are not dense at all.
This was my first time growing indoors. Growing was pretty difficult and the two plants responded totally differently, with one staying short and compact while the other one was long and thin. The smoke is not very tasty, it tastes like grass with ash, but the effects are nice. Pretty clear, uplifting high, and plenty of laughs. The short growing period does not allow for many mistakes, as they plants don't have time to recover.
This was a huge learning process. It was my first indoor grow. I noticed that Quick One is so quick (what a surprise) that it is pretty unforgiving when you make mistakes, as it does not have much time to recover.
Im growing Q1 plant its almost 3 weeks old now and i used almost no nutrients at all shes doing fine (only twice with 1ml Biogrow from Biobizz per liter and 1ml of Ionic calmag per liter). I think you are just giving them too much nutes and its a low nute strain. Dont feed with every watering i guess.. Once you overfeed it gets confusing because it could be anything but its a nute lockout 90% ... Which soil did you use for grow ?
Happy growing! I hope you get some good results! Take care and stay lit! I will drop by sometimes to check on your process! Say hello if you ever visit my page!
