I took many clones of UKBS 2 from last run as the stem molding scared me. Wanting to save the genetics, I took as many as I possibly could handle. Of those, 5 rooted and I will be running 2 and handing the others off to some friends.
I'll be taking the strongest two of the 5 present in the first photo, which will be done shortly after this diary starts.

This was an incredibly fast growing phenotype when I ran the mom in the tent, on paper these should be exactly the same given I'll be providing them the same environment. I'm excited to see how these go.
-7/31/2021 - I selected the two strongest clones, and topped them before tossing them into the tent with the light on low power at 16". I may increase the power as the grow goes but I'd like the clones to acclimatize to the tent nicely.
-8/1/2021 - Clones are growing nicely.
Solid week. Very fast growth despite topping. Amped up the light a little bit and will begin some LST soon to try and spread the plants horizontally.
Updates as we go.
-8/10/2021 - Did some LST, HST and a little cleanup of some lower crap that wasn't too promising.
Great week with incredible growth. Responded very well to the topping and LST, just like their mother. Will continue with LST and some light HST until I'm satisfied with canopy coverage.
Updates as the week goes.
-8/18 - Further LST and some HST was used to try and spread the plants horizontally even more.
-8/20 - Watering today, then a bit of HST. Growth is going well.
Growth was good this week. LST and HST will continue to spread the plants horizontally. Timelapse is out. I'm thinking approximately another 4 weeks of veg before the flip to flower, maybe less.
Great week. Plants grew like crazy, much faster than expected. This week sometime I'll be transplanting the ladies up to 5 gallon pots, then a few weeks of recovery before the flip I think.
Having never run clones before, I'm frankly shocked at how fast the turnaround time is.
Timelapse for the week is out. Updates will come if needed.
Great week again. Clones showed more great signs of growth and are quite healthy. Today I repotted them to the final 5 gallon containers that they will be spending flowering in. We should be going into flowering within the next couple of weeks, I will be monitoring growth and performing a pre-flower strip. Updates as they come, of course.
Hello hello! This past week was filled with explosive new growth; these clones certainly live up to the standards set by their mother. So much so, in fact, that I decided to take two more cuttings. We'll see if they root.
This will be either the final or the second-to-last week of veg for these plants as they've nearly filled the space completely and are beginning to shoot upwards. A lesson I learned with Carl&UKBS 1 was the "perfect window" of veg time- filling the space and maximizing yield while still allowing airflow to prevent mold.
HST and LST will continue into flower, HST will stop at F7. LST will continue until harvest as I'm not scrogging the plants this time around.
-9/20- Tomorrow the new week will begin and the clones will be flipped to flower. Wish me luck!
With another good week under the belt, the tent has been flipped to flower. A pre-flower strip will be performed sometime in the first week here, and then it's off to the races. I'm hoping to see around 150g without trim from this go, let's see how we do.
-9/24- Performed a first week strip to let the ladies breathe a little better, looking good. Still a lot of leaf mass to go about photosynthesis, just removed the less useful leaves and a handful of sucker nodes that had little or no light exposure.
-9/25- Noticing the stretch bit time. They gained about 1/3 their total height in the past couple days.
Where flower? lol. Seriously though, I've been on a flowering light cycle for a week already now with zero signs of flower. I suppose it is quite similar to their mother, which also took quite some time to kick into flower while the days were shortening.
Either way, we're luckily not in a situation of needing flower nor lacking space in the tent, so we can keep on keepin' on.
Normally I would start to incorporate a low dose of bloom booster starting this week, however due to the lack of any flower formation whatsoever I'm going to hold off until next week.
Updates as per usual, timelapse is out, Happy Growing all!
-10/2- Finally noticing some bud formation starting, very minimal but noticeable. About goddamn time, 3 weeks under 12/12 and all.
Good week in the tent, finally now seeing the flowers kicking in. Only took about 3 weeks under 12/12, lol. They've stretched quite a bit since the flip, and by the looks of things should yield more than I initially thought.
-10/6- Gave the girls a drink and a defo today, in the interest of airflow mainly. Don't want a repeat of last time. No matter how miniscule the amount of mold, any is a serious issue by my (and anyone resonable's) standards.
Another good week inside the tent. The girls have kicked into flower, and are throwing out an absolutely gobsmacking amount of pistils at current. Also, leaves are starting to get a little dusting of frost. Very good signs this early.
Timelapse is out and updates will be posted as things happen. Keep eyes peeled for some EOS rebel shots this week.
-10/15- Eos Rebel shots are out, showcasing the huge masses of white pistils at each budsite.
Solid week in the tent yet again. The buds have been fattening slightly and frosting slightly as well. Plenty of white pistils being thrown still.
Timelapse for the week is out, updates come as they go, the usual.
-10/22- EOS T5 shots are out. Seeing some very nice purpling of buds and quite a bit of frost as well.
Great week in the tent. The clones are purpling up incredibly nicely, and have a thick coating of frost each that also covers sugar leaves and some fans. Keep eyes peeled for EOS T5 Rebel shots coming soon, I love taking pictures of these girls.
Timelapse is out for the week, slightly better edited due to now using vegas pro.
10/29- EOS shots are out. Seeing some great colors and a substantial amount of frost on the buds.
Great week, yet again. The girls are showing some great purpling and trichome production, as well as starting to really smell it up. EOS T5 shots should be comin soon, keep eyes peeled.
EOS T5 shots out. Incredible development showcased.
After some good frosting, purpling and fattening last week we're entering what seems to be either the second-to-last or last week of these plants' lives, depending how they grow. Seems I could really use a PH measurement device as the plants are exhibiting a wide variety of leaf symptoms.
Eyes peeled for EOS T5 shots in the next few days, of course ;)
Solid week in the tent. Plenty more frosting, however I'm not seeing very much amber at all. Perhaps 3-8% of the trichomes have ambered at this time. This may be the last full week of these girls' growth, we'll see. I am concerned about the state of the leaves, many are dying and it may cause mold or rot issues.
EOS shots soon.
Pretty good week, unfortunately quite a bit of necrosis in leaf tissue. On the upside, the trichomes are starting to amber on the calyxes and pistils are mostly orange throughout the plant as well. I'm hoping the necrosis remains somewhat minimal over the next couple days so I can squeeze a little more maturity out of her. Unfortunately the case may be that my oversight of the earlier PH issue and failure to address it in due time resulted in these plants coming down approximately a week earlier than I would've liked. Anyhow, this will be the girls' last week in the tent.
Timelapse would be out, but GD doesn't seem to like me uploading videos anymore. It's on my instagram if you care.
EOS T5 shots come out whenever I find the EOS T5
Man, this was fun to grow. The purples and oranges along with the incredible frosty coating the plants had was simply magnificent. As for resilience, they were as hardened as their mother outdoors. Unfortunately a PH issue in late flower proved catastrophic to yield, but that's a lesson well learned, isn't it?
