Wondering if node distance is too close? Plant seems to be healthy and happy but just stacked on top of itself. Being my first grow, this could be great or terrible and I wouldn't have a clue. Hoping it will stretch and be nice and compact but form several colas.
Wondering if I should do something to increase node distance. I see so many journals of people doing LST and their plants seem to be stretched so much more and it seems much more clear where and what to train. Is this ok? Good? Terrible?
If I want more distance between nodes I will walk the line with low light. I will run my lights at lower power to encourage some stretch but you don't want to go too far and hurt growth. In the end you can not fight genetics so you just work with the plant you have. A close node spacing isn't the end for LST though. I get busy with the training & tying during the stretch to get all the bud sites spread out as much as possible.
I'll let someone else answer your question above (autoflowers are newer to us and definitely aren't our strongest grows)...but for us, it's raising or lowering the light that helps us get the node spacing we're after if genetics are willing...and plants will go thru their biggest stretch when they first enter flower.....hope this helps somewhat and good luck with your grow!! 🐱❤️💡🌱
