Been struggling with a couple issues and I think we may be in the clear now. All of the girls were plagued with leaf miners along with a nitrogen deficiency. Just translated them into 1 gal pots and hoping they pick back up.
It's been 4 days after transplant and they started growing again!! I was worried for a couple days because there was 0 growth.
Off to a late start with issues from week 1 into week 2 but I think we're over it and moving along back to normal. The purple punch is looking thirsty but I think I'll wait another day to hopefully avoid overwatering and doing more damage. I also started a bit of LST twisting the stem and bending them down at almost a 90 degree angle
I've noticed a big difference after adding silica to the waterings when I lst. The plants have been much more forgiving. I'm using slightly different techniques of LST on each plant to see how they react
Had too many issues with dos si dos and the leaves dying off. I topped her after loosing all of the newer leaves. Gingers crossed that this helps
Well I think I lost the dos si dos. Every new leaf grows well but ends up dying shortly after. I'm giving her another week or two of just water to see what happens.
The tropicanna Banana and purple punch are going well. Topped the purple punch and LST on the TB. Turned up the sf4000 to 40% to see how they react. I might bump that up to 50% next week to keep it moving.
9/6 added a pinch of feed to their watering today to help them get by until I transplant next weekend. I'm noticing a huge difference with LST and really making them look how I want before flipping to flower. Luckily I'm in no rush and using this to learn about the plants
End of week 5 and they are looking great. I added another lst clip to the tropicanna Banana to help even out the canopy and its looking perfect just a day after. I think it's time to let them start to take off vertically.
LST is done other than twisting stems but now waiting for a bit more vertical growth before flipping to flower. Also waiting for the weather in socal to cool down before I flip so I'm not running the ac as much.
