Pink Kush, Sweet Gelato and Pineapple X

fangurlgrow The three girls popped up nicely so I transplanted them to 20L fabric pots! I also germinated and planted some Lemon Balm for companion growing. Lemon Balm has a nice subtle citrus smell which compliments the ladies whilst keeping away any critters that intend on crashing the party!

fangurlgrow The weather is warming up and so is the grow tent. I’m using a different compost and a random tomato seed sprouted 😂 I’ve decided no hst on autos for and when bigger will start lst.

fangurlgrow It’s much hotter and I’m slightly worried about potential heat stress. I’ve started a very light feeding of nutes. So far so good!

fangurlgrow Ok so I decided not to give the plants any more nutes because I started to see some burn, the heat didn’t help either.

fangurlgrow It’s cooled down and the plants are recovering well from their burns. I decided to start lst and they are taking to it like a champ!

fangurlgrow Pistols are now coming through with flowering sites. The Pink Kush CBD Auto reminds me of the 90’s frosted tips hairstyle. Starting to smell slightly but the Lemon Balm is hiding it well with the citrus scent.

fangurlgrow Well what a week so far! The flowering sites have come out in full swing, lots of pistols popping out and the trichomes have been making an appearance. The Pineapple Express Auto in particular has had a couple of last minute growth spurts and should hopefully be calming down to focus primarily on flowering. Nice subtle smell thanks to the lemon balm, but if anything I love citrus so nothing to complain about there. Here’s to hoping within the next couple of weeks the flowers will be fattening up nicely.

fangurlgrow So this week with the trichomes developing and no more growth spurts now the calyx’s are starting to fatten up. With my first grow noticeably I messed up on the flowering feed. However this time round I can definitely see how much of a difference it makes. The smell is starting to come through more but not as strong as anticipated so good job Lemon balm! I’ve decided to be cautious and whack on the air purifier just to be safe. Still the same amount of nutes but I switched to daily feeding of 0.5L instead of 1L every other day. On the downside I spotted THRIP nymphs. As much as I don’t like defoliating Auto’s I decided to do just that and use neem oil. We’ll see how it goes…

fangurlgrow This week has been very interesting! So the solution for the thrip problem seems to be working and the damage was limited. The pink kush looks very nearly ready trichomes going cloudy and 70% of the pistols have curled in and turned reddish/brown. So I’ve started to flush this week and should hopefully harvest within a couple of weeks. The sweet gelato had a sudden urge to bulk quickly. The calyx’s are getting nice and chunky and she’s now looking very frosty too! The pineapple express is a little slower than the others but she’s looking frosty. I’d say she’s a procrastinator and will shine through at last minute. The smell is definitely a lot stronger now so I’m glad I’ve got the carbon filter going strong.

fangurlgrow Just headed into a small heatwave this week. So I’m glad the girls should be ready soon. I’m flushing the Sweet Gelato and the Pineapple Express Autos. The Pink Kush CBD has been harvested so I’ll pop up another post. Trichomes are looking nice, and majority of the pistols have browned and curled. Not much to update just being super patient now.

fangurlgrow Nice cbd strain despite being a small plant. She struggled in the beginning due to heat stress but bounced back. Very potent smelling. Gave her a rinse wash before hanging to dry. I haven’t weighed her yet but I’m not expecting much. It’s my first cbd strain so quite proud!

fangurlgrow Good strain, very sweet! Took well to LST, overall happy with what was produced.
