This plant has continued to glow slowly. It lost quite a few lower leaves, but seems to be back on track. The leaves are very compact and dark in color...I have fed it lights (Foxfarm glow big) and mostly left it alone, watering only when it's dry to promote root growth. It finally seems healthy and happy, and I am going to let it continue at its own pace for a while...No shift from veg to flower in sight.
This plant continues to stay compact, and the healthy leaves are small and very dark green, while the lower leaves brown and fall off. That said, it's growing, and I'm optimistic it will start to spread out some. I moved from a light timer to a programmed smart plug this week. I only watered it once but added a small amount of nutrients and flushed it well with water before and after. It seems like it's had a real failure to thrive, but I'm being patient and am excited to see where it ends up.
No changes here. The plant is a little taller - if it doesn't start taking off soon, I imagine it won't. I'll move it into the flower stage in the next few weeks either way...
update: Two weeks after this photo, this plant just went limp. It was always slow to grow; it seems like the roots didn't develop. It shared a tent with another plant, and both ended up with weak stems. It's possible I kept them too wet early on, but it's also possible I had an issue with the soil or other factors. I threw this plant out, along with the pots and soil I had used, and I scrubbed down the tent.
I have one seed left for this strain and will try again soon.
