Not much going on this week. Applied more low stress training and tied down some more branches to expand the canopy. The American Pie #1, in particular, is responding incredibly well to the LST and looks great!
Killed the 2 suspected male plants, now the garden is at 4 plants. This seems like maximum capacity for 5 gallon pots anyway.
As the pH continued to drop drastically low in my runoff (down to 3.3), I made the decision to do a flush on every plant and do a fresh feeding of nutrients. The labor that was put into flushing these plants was incredibly grueling. It took about 10-11 hours to complete the task. Never again do I want to have to do a flush. I used 7 gallons of water on each 5 gallon pot while utilizing the bath tub as a drain. This was back-breaking labor. NEVER AGAIN. π
On a good note though, the flush was successful and in the end all the plants got a nice feeding before being placed back in the garden. Things should start looking better in the coming weeks as the plants recover from the immense stress placed upon them. I hope.
