Start of week 9 about 50% of pistols have turned orange on all buds except low down. The edges of the larger leaves are turning yellow, not sure if lacking in nitrogen since starting the flush, burn from last feed, or just the plant using its reserves as coming close to the end. Have decided to harvest on day 70 the trichomes are cloudy and over 3/4 of pistols orange

Should I remove the side shoots from the first node? Although strong I cannot see them do much, I am not trimming any of the fan leaves as I prefer to let it grow naturally as possible but just wondering about these lowest branches draining more energy from the plant then giving

Any low branches that are spending most their life shaded and dont look big enough to hold a piece of popcorn, would be better to remove. All those little branches use energy that could be distributed to the larger plant so I'd say yes its most helpful to clean up the bottoms.
