Here goes my first grow, I’ve chosen hempy buckets. Seeds soaked 24hrs in room temperature filtered water, the transferred to root it cubes in the medium, lightly watered with R/temp filtered water with mentioned nutrition🤞
So one week in and very pleased, I pulled another plant just because I had two lsd auto and I thought I’ll do two of them and four of the Jack. Tomorrow I’ll start 1/4 veg feed. The equipment I’ve bought has proved I made a good call. Our weather has been up and down and humidity has been really high and gas controller kept everything very stable, I would have had lots of trouble without it.
All going great, it won’t be too long before the roots hit the reservoir, I’ve stop using canna start, and increased the light dimmer to 50%, I’ve also added a exhale co2 bag into the tent. I’ll need to put a top of coco coir or clay pebbles to stop the algae!
Watering twice a week roughly 4 litres with about 20% run off, the run now tells me the roots are in the res as the EC reading is lower than the feed, it has also taught me to wait a few hours after mixing the feed to recheck the PH as the run off PH was higher than the feed! 3 years of reading all forums is paying off, so a big thank you to all the growers who have shared the the love!
So adding a small amount of coco coir to the top to stop algae gave me a problem. I checked the PH run off and it was slightly high 6.6 but not enough to cause major problems, one of the plants leaves had browning/ rust spots between the veins and the other plants had small spots, which I believe to be a magnesium deficiency, so I flushed all plants with 5ltrs of tap water (ph 5.5) then fed them the same but added canna calmag. I removed the worst leaves and prayed. That was yesterday and things don’t seem to have got worse. The mistake I made was not flushing the coco coir before I used it, thankfully I put a second drain hole at the very bottom of the bucket which is taped up, it allowed me fully flush out all the salt buildup that was in the reservoir. I’ve started lst on two of the plants the two least affected.🤞it’s sorted and we can move on!
All the plants responded well to the flush and calmag, did more lst and some defoliation during 4/5 week, now they are 5 weeks old today I’ll stop training and cut them free, introducing a gradual flower feed in this week! I’m very happy with my work so far🤞
Two of the girls are growing big and strong the out two aren’t stretching just as must, starting to trim the excess leaves to allow good air flow and let bud sites get more light. Now move onto aqua Flores and canna boost! I’m very pleased how things are going!🤞these 6 weeks have flown in!
All going good this week, one of the girls looks to be a good bit ahead of the others, I was hoping that I could have dried in this tent, but I think I’ll buy a tent to dry in, so I don’t rush the ones that are a bit behind.There’s a bit of burn on some of the leaves which I think is down to the pk I should have used a 1/2 dose not the recommended 15mls-10ltrs, but I happy to be learning from my mistakes.
Week 8 and I’m very happy with the girls, they’re all at different stages of flowering and height , maybe two to four weeks differences, but having the them in hempy buckets has allows me individual feeding and soon flushing, adding a separate drying tent will help me furthermore. I’ve changed the light schedule to 18-6 from 20-4 to give them more rest for the final stage!🤞
Week 9, the plant have a bit more to go, between 1-4 weeks, the girls will let know, and I’m lucky that I don’t have to rush them on! We be feeding the the plants individual now.
Girls are doing great! Had I higher run off this week (1200) and ph (6.7) , so unblocked my drain hole and did a light feeding flush, until run off was ppm 550-600 and ph 6-6.2, I did a light defoliation(20%)on two of the plants(day 70)as loads of buds weren’t getting any lights, plants and buds responded very well. I’ll start harvesting one the w’end 🤞2 plants have different feeds, the other two the same, getting lesser closer to harvest!
11 weeks from seed, one of the girls is ready to harvest, the last week her feeds were lowered from 560-104 ppm PH 5.8. Day 75 she just had 20ltrs over two days with ph’d filtered water and 1m-1ltr canazym run to waste. Day 77 put in total darkness for 72 hrs before being chopped then dried for 2-3week . The others are doing great and are 2-3 weeks away. Two other smaller will get light defoliation to the inner of the plant over the next few weeks, big moma is get PK13-14, 0.75ml-1ltr and 1.25ml-1ltr A&B and the other additives ppm 740, hopefully she will end up the tent to herself for her last week or two.
So week 12, the hanging girl is about to get cured for 2-3 weeks, and another girl LSD is about to get 72 of darkness I didn’t do a dairy for her but she got treated the same. Big moma and two have still a bit to go!
Week 13, I thought I’d be all done by now and into a new crop, but I’m really happy trucking on! The first Jack that got harvested produced 56g grade A, 17g grade B/C and 18g ( trim and whispy buds) for hash, she’s on day 7 of curing! The other girls look like they will produce a good bit more. The LSD isn’t far away from 3 days of darkness before drying! I’m happy that the harvest is going to be staggered too!
Big moma had a high PH of 6.7 in the root zone, it caused a lot of leaves to yellow, I did a feeding flush of A&B, eco thrive neutralise PH 5.8 and the a normal feed with about 3ltrs of run off, it brought the PH down to 6.2 so happy with that. LSD got chopped today and is hanging! hopefully last girls will be finished in about 2- 3 weeks🤞
Week 15, I think the 20ltr pot are the reason they’re taking so long to mature, I will be going with 10ltr next grow,
but the yields are looking very good. The two smaller ones will get 72 darkness in next few days, big moma will get the tent to herself!
Two of the girls are in drying, after 72 hrs of darkness, Big moma is two to three weeks away, but she will produce a super yield, judging on the other girls. Have a good Christmas or holidays fellow growers!
Poor girl got a bit of neglect last week, it couldn’t be helped unfortunately, she is massive buds look great and she is still not ready ffs!. Looking at her I think that I’ll harvest the top half first and let the low half mature more, and add some more babies to the tent. The others girls are nearly trimmed and looks like 5-7oz of them . The lsd produced 5.6 oz of fine bud and is an amazing smoke!
Week 20 ffs but she is a day or two away from getting the top half chopped, the lower half is still growing, but I might just din it to start again, it’s gone on too long now!
