I got a free seed of FAST BUDS *Wedding Cheesecake Auto* at my local grow shop, so i decided to buy 1 seed of *Gorilla Cookies Auto* from their site and got 1 free seed of *Gelato Auto*. I decided to plant all 3 seeds with 1 seed of *Sweet Gelato Auto* from SWEET SEEDS. I just grew 2 Sweet Gelato Autos in my first grow under these lights and love the buds they produced! It will be interesting to see how they perform side by side. Each light will now also be shared by 2 plants, instead of 1 light for each plant light my first grow. I hope my 2 x 120 watt lm301b LED quantum boards (QKWIN QBS V2) from AliExpress will be enough power to produce quality nugs!
Germination started on September 2:
I germinated in cotton discs and now will never do it again. Germination was slower on 2 so i let it wait till the morning and the 2 that were advanced FUSED a bit to the disc. I lifted one up and heard a RIPPPP. The other wouldn't budge, so I cut around it with scissors. We will see how the go... I forgot to write down which they were, so let's cross our fingers and hope they all turn out fine.
Planted into pots September 5:
I planted them all in 3 gallon (13.6 L) fabric Pure Pots. I used 10 L of *BioBizz Light Mix* for each pot.
Nutrients:
When the plants reach 10-15 cm I will start using nutrients at each watering. I will be using the whole line of BioBizz nutrients, except for Root Juice. Instead, I will use *Organic Roots* by *Boom Nutrients* from GrowBarato.net until the 2nd week of flower.
End of week 3
Just did round one of LST, sorry for lack of before pictures.
I also cut off the first single leaf and its chute, hoping to let my plants focus on other bud sites higher up.
Today (day 21) I watered with BioBizz BioHeaven and ActiVera. I also used some Organic Rooms from Boom Nutrients.
As you can see, I lost the Gelato Auto from Fast Buds ... The seed got stuck to the baby leaves and it never broke open. I tried to help with tweezers but it was too late. Looked like it would work, but then it shriveled up...
It might be better to have 3 instead of 4 plants in this 80x80x160 cm tent. I put in an oscillating fan in the corner and need that extra bit of space...
Week 4 is finished!
- LST on all the plants a little everyday. Also cut off the lowest fan leaves because they were touching the soil.
- Temperatures are super high, like 31C all the time. Not sure what to do. My driver is outside of the tent. I have a small 125mm inline fan and an AirSok soft carbon filter. Might have to upgrade these to get some better airflow. Outside temps are usually around 24-28, so that doesn't help.
- I also increased the light intensity a bit, but I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have. The lights are far from the canopy, yet they are super bushy and not stretching too much. Overall, the plants look happy and healthy, so maybe the stretching will come this week.
End of week 5 finished!
- Keeping up with LST on all of the girls
- Turned the lights to 22/2 because of the heat... I wanted to tgive them a break... its gets down to 27C at "night"
- I have cut off a few large fan leaves that have been tucked and are now getting yellow
- I have some discoloration on lower leaves... looks like a Cal-Mag issue, but I'm not sure. I have heavy Cal in the tap water
- Stretching is fierce on these right now and they are drinking 2 liters of water like every 2 days or so
- Wedding Cheesecake looks real green and not stretching as much
- I started bloom nutes this week because I was seeing preflowering occur on the girls... hopefully it wasn't too soon
- Also my BioBizz Acti-Vera has an old label with the old logo. It's looking pretty are and smells strong... still using it but I am weary
End of week 6!
- Gorilla Cookies is starting to grow some nice flowers, fattening up by the day
- Wedding Cheesecake looked like it slowed stretching before, but now it looks like its getting stockier and stretching a bit. Still no big flowers yet
- Sweet Gelato is getting bushy and thick branches. Tons of flowering sites opening up. Still no big flowers yet
End of week 7!
Gorilla Cookies: Some lower leaves were turning yellow and I plucked them off, may be cal mag problems, but she's growing well
Wedding Cheesecake: Also removed some leaves that were yellowing. Accidentally let her get too close to the light and she looks a little bleached yellow on the main cola, so we will se how she bounces back after I raised the light. The rest of the bud sites look ok, not stretching a lot though.
Sweet Gelato: She is really getting bushy and lots of little buds are forming. She will be huge!
Temps are staying under 30C now and humidity between 35-45% rh
Week 8 finished!
Gorilla Cookies: She is chunking up every day a bit more. Some yellowing on lower leaves, don't know why. I have been plucking them off when they get very frail. I think I will do one more week of nutrients for her then decide whether or not to start water only. Advertised as a 10 week plant, so might be just 2 weeks away!
Wedding Cheesecake: It has a weird structure. the branches don't stray from their main bud branch. getting crowded on a few buds. I tried a little more lst to give some space between buds.
Sweet Gelato: Did a little more LST to separate the buds. She is stretching and is the bushiest in this grow for sure. I think she will be an absolute monster in a week or two.
Temps staying below 30C and RH below 50%... my girls are happy. Also lowered a fan to blow on the Wedding Cheesecake to try to avoid mold with those crowded buds.
