8th Sep. - seeds planted.
I began by creating the rich, organic medium that my plants would use to thrive. I have 3x5gal fabric root pouches with 3x35cm trays, I wish I had made the trays 40cm to provide more room at the bottom.
Because I am doing an autoflower grow, I will amend the medium with everything the plant needs for the first 4-6 weeks of its life. This will create a stable environment for the plants to succeed and a balance NPK.
- 50l coco-lite 70/30,
- 25% worm castings (12.5l)
- dry amendments were all Dr Forest; 4-4-4 (300g), 2-8-4 (200g), 2tsp of MC Great White.
Each pot has roughly 20l, 2l shy of 5gal.
I fully saturated the medium before placing the seeds in a small hole 4-5cm deep. I lightly dusted the hole with Myco. Lightly covering the top of the seeds, (no patting or compression, this can stunt root growth) I placed the dome over to create a controlled micro-environment around the seed (immediately remove once sprouted to avoid rot)
My grow tent environment for germination is as follows; 67-80% RH, 21-24C, light cycle set up. Can use the filtration system to vent if humidity gets too high.
Now I wait for the seedlings to pop, here's hoping. Will update if they are successful
