Una leggenda e due fenotipi

HDThoreau We are at the end of the fourth week of flowering and the morphological differences between the two plants are now evident. The Sativa phenotype has reached a height of 128cm, has a more open structure, lighter green foliage, and the leaves have the typical thin and elongated Sativa shape. Really beautiful. It has extreme elegance. The second phenotype has reached the surprising height of 155cm considering the few weeks of growth available. It has a more closed structure with shorter and narrower branches, the leaves are wider and dark green. It seems that the flowering is slightly behind its sister but is starting to take on purple hues, very reminiscent of Afghan origins. Two splendid plants in perfect health. A few weeks ago, between the first and second week of flowering, I added a product containing various types of microorganisms like fungi, bacteria, and nematodes to the substrate. I also added about 50 grams per plant of BioBloom powder from GreenHouse Feeding, which also contains microorganisms. Since the first weeks, the base of the plants has been covered with newspaper. This, along with the products added to the substrate, has allowed for the proliferation of beneficial microorganisms in symbiosis with the roots, as can be clearly seen in the photos. I am very happy with how this cultivation is progressing. I will keep you updated on the next developments.

HDThoreau We are at the end of the fifth week of flowering. The two skunks are starting to visibly bulk up their flowers, which day by day are filling with resin. The aroma they emit is quite intense and has fruity notes. The sativa phenotype shows a faster flower development compared to the indica phenotype. It will most likely be ready to harvest 5-7 days before the indica phenotype. I expect a good yield because the plants are in excellent health and are filled everywhere with nice big flowers. I believe the sativa phenotype can be harvested within 10 days, while the other plant will be ready in about 15 days. The two plants are showing a gradual yellowing of the larger leaves, a clear sign that the floral development is reaching its peak and they will soon be ready for harvest. HDThoreau I'm back with a new diary. This time I want to tell you about the journey of these two wonderful legends. Two Skunk #1. A name is a guarantee. I started this cultivation in the first week of July from seed. The two plants immediately showed a vitality I've never seen before. The first week of vegetative growth was conducted in a small grow room with an LED lamp. From the first to the sixth week of vegetative growth, the development was truly amazing. The two plants had an average daily growth of almost 2cm. They enjoyed a great climate typical of the months of July and August that we have around here at the foot of the central Apennines. Right from the start, the two plants exhibited different morphology from one another. The same Skunk genotype gave rise to two different phenotypes, one leaning more towards sativa genes and the other with characteristics reminiscent of the Afghan side. This week, the differences aren't very evident yet, but in the coming weeks, they will start to become more noticeable.

HDThoreau It's the end of the sixth week. The sativa phenotype is almost ready to be harvested. The buds have swollen nicely and are filled with resin, while the pistils are turning brown. It gives off a strong critical, fruity, and pungent smell. I think another 5-7 days and it can be cut. As for the indica phenotype, the maturation time will be slightly longer. The buds are smaller but very elegant with purple and dark green hues. They also emit a fruity smell but less critical and pungent. Both plants are showing a gradual yellowing of the larger leaves. Typical for this stage of development. We're almost there. The two legends are almost ready, presenting two different and very enticing phenotypes. I can't wait to taste them both.
