First indoor grow ever. Should have used small pots in the beginning, But it s to late for that. Had some EC problems ( could also be because of starting with big pots), should have flushed the coco a few times before using it. Flushing it now, not the best time to do this.

Looks somewhat yellow, mostly because of the 4 cob cbx 3590 above them. Atleast that is what i think. Planning a flowering period for next week, not enough room for big plants. I m going to lower the lamp to 35 cm, it seems to keep the plants compact. I was worried about lightburn, but i think the plants can take 30 to 35 cm, mabey even lower. I m not using reflectors for a reason; light spread is better, and the lightburn issue i read about is no reall thing anymore atleast i hope so. The Gelato to the left is growing wider for some reason, could be genetics or it could be that i gave it more nutrients somehow. It happens ! At the moment the smell is weak, with that i mean that when the growtent is opend i can smell the plants from 2 or 3 meters away for a few seconds. Started giving some coco bloom (HESI) for the transition to 12/12 in a few days. I have no idea what the right moment is, but i think right about now should be good. My aim is to get it between 50 and 70 cm max at the end of the flowering period. I ll find out soon enough.

First time i can see the plants wan t nutrients. Going to give 60 % off recommended quantity. Untill now i gave arround 35 % off recommended, and even that was to much. Humidity at 68-60 % is a problem, but only a reall problem in the last 4 weeks and for that i have a dehumidifier. I m not using it for now. Height of the plants is still 22 cm, because of the LST and topping. Day 31 getting yellow leaves at the bottom, going to 5ml/l coco bloom. It seems they are hungry. I allmost believe that i can keep the plants somewhat short. Better a good short plant then a big one, 70 to 90 cm is my max, i think 55 cm max is a good guess. 2 to 3 times the hight of the veg-state if im correct. No experience with indoor growing, so starting the flowering period is a gamble. Day 32 ; 30 cm seems to close, i think i m seeing some slight lightburn, 35 cm looks better. (4 cob 3590 at 50 watt each)

Not worried that they will grow to big anymore, Let s see how the stretching is going to be in the coming weeks. Green Gelato is pretty even untill now, i m still doing some lst to keep everything level more or less. Green G is 55 % indica, but having grown some other strains outside that did not say much. My white widow streched more then 1 meter outside (flowering), The crtitcal did the same and that one was 20 % more indica. I think that the flowering period ( 7 to 14 weeks) , the space you have and the distance of the lamp can do a lot inside, but that is just me making a guess. Offcourse true sativas will strech a lot, butt the Green Gelatos are hybrids made for indoor growing, crossbred since 1970/1980, so the cops can t find them. I am sure there is enough Skunk and northerlight genetics to be found. Some leaves are dying at the bottom, well that is what those are for. It just indicates that i can give some more nutrients. Tried a cheap dehumidifier. It does nothing, It works i have to take water out of the machine, But it does not work for my growtent. Simply put I am constantly refreshing the air with my exhaust and small intake, NO WAY the dehumidifier can work fast enough to change the constant stream of new (i hope fresh) air. I doubt that an expensive one will do much beter, unless i buy something pro, and that is not going to happen. I can blow heated air , butt it is summer and that is something for the winter time. I will take the humidity as it is. Not much else to do, then trying to keep the growroom as dry as possible, hoping for the right weather outside and letting the exhaust work harder. Plants look happy, and for now i think that 45 cm at the end is max. Which would be ideal.

Well flowering has set in, max height between 50 and 60 cm. The heigth is what i was aiming for. Now i m just waiting to see how big the nugs will be with the 200 watt cob leds. I think that the penatrating power of these leds is good enough for bigger and taller plants, thats something i will consider for an other time. If there is a next time i will place the cob leds 5 cm more appart from each other, for more light cover, they seem bright enough for that. Right now it is 31 cm from center to center, i will make that 35 cm or even a little bit more. At a next grow i will do fimming instead of topping, 2 more bigger tops for every plant would have been perfect.

Ph is 6.8 or even higher, i am correcting this because this is to high i need around 6.0. Not every plant is behaving the same, i think because of shitty PH levels, on the other hand well who knows. The side branches at the canvas are mostly higher then the other branches. My guess; because they were harder to reach and there fore more of a pain in the ass to manipulate ( bending/lst) . A well max hight difference is about 20 cm overall so nothing to complain about. This is my first indoor grow ever, and 3rd if you count outside, i could do a lot worse. I did a small flush for every plant, with cocobloom ( EC 1.6 drain measurement) , and now i gonna wait untill the cocos is dry and the plant thirsty. Tried small amounts of pk 13/ 14, but got burning symptons so i m very carefull with that. After the dry out period, i will give 4/5 m/l coco bloom with 1.5 m/ l pk 13/ 14. Measuring EC is not really usefull for me, because the HESI nutrients have a low EC. That s why it is beter to mostly look at the plants. An EC of 1.6 ( drain)should be good at this stage anyhow.

Made a mistake last week, miscalculated the pk 13/14, so now i know why i had ( and still have a little) the burning symptons. Giving 4 or 5 times the recommended quantity is not good. Atleast i did this only twice and i have flushed the cocos with water to get rid of the overdose. I hope the plants didn t get to much of a setback from this. The next few weeks should be the fattening weeks; Flowering time should be 8 to 10 weeks. So i m counting on 9 weeks. Still do not understand the difference between the gelato's in the forming of nodes during stretch. i will continue the pk 13/14, but at half the recommended dose or even less. The coco bloom i will be adding arround 3 to 4 ml/liter, which is 60 to 80 % of recommended. A few weeks ago i gave 4ml/ l, and this was no problem. Adding a little pk 13/14 should not give a overfeeding problem, except offcourse when you re stuppid enough to read the quantities wrong. I can smell the gelato s, in the room where the exhaust ends. I m going to extend the hose all the way to my balkony, once outside there should be no smell, and in the open air there is not enough smell to alarm my neighbours.. The filter can not filter everything out so blowing it into a small room whit no airflow, will slowly make that room smell. It doesn t smell like weed, butt through the filter there is still some kind off sweet smell. Mabey it is normal mabey not i don t know, i just don t wan t it inside.

Temps are going to be very high the next few weeks ( 30 plus degrees outside), not a lot i can do about this. I m suspecting some slight lightburn, the upper leaves seem to get a somewhat yellow color so i m raising the lamp 5 to 10 cm, mabey even some more. Ordered an extra fan to help with the heat, and the light burning. To make sure it is not just overfeeding or offset ph levels i will look at this as well.thinking about switching the schedule to lamp on; at night. My problem with that is that night-temps will be higher then the day temps, could be a problem for the ladies ( i don t know). As long as i can keep the temps around 25 to 27 degrees on average i m not changing a thing. Yes 23 degrees would be perfect, but perfect costs more money.

Well a little more then a week to go, it seems that every one off the gelato s is a bit different. The one to the far left will need a week more then the gelato s to the right. the gelato to the far right is producing the biggest nugs. Starting with a flush for the gelato s at the right side. I hope they will swell some more, like 20 or 30 %. They do seem to have some trouble with the heat. I had to raise my lamp it seems that the light burning has stopped, added an active intake for some fresh (er) air. They say a 1 week flush is enough on cocos, to be sure i wan t to make this atleast 9 to 10 days. I have checked the trichomes, on the gelato that looks closet near harfest, haven t seen any brown ones yet, but about 40 % is getting milky. For me 10 to 20 % amber means harvest. The gelato s are more thirsty now (the heat ??), atleast this is good for the flush (i think). Because of temps going up to 36 or 37 degrees outside, i m setting my clock from 00:00 to 12:00 o clock. If it gets that hot my growroom which is under a flat roof will get way to hot. UPDATE; it seems that i will have to harvest at least one gelato a bit early ( seeing very small amounts of amber allready) , so only 4 or 5 days of flush for this one. Well it will have to be enough. It seems that a flush at the end of week six, is a good starting point. Shame i mist it by a few days. so atleast 1 gelato is finished before the end of week 8( 31 july). I m praying for 35 grams ( dry) for each gelato on average. I said 10 to 20% amber, what i meant was most trichomes milky/ cloudy and hopefully under 10 % amber. I like the uplifting part the most.

I ll begin harvesting 2 gelatos in 2 or 3 days, the third one is taking longer so this one gets atleast one week more. Started flushing all 3 of them. The first two will get a 5 to 7 day flush and the 3rd one allmost 1.5 weeks it seems. Still just very few trichomes turning (trancelucent) amber (10 % at the end is oke for me) to be spotted, but that can change quickly. Most trichomes ( 70 %) look milky white, 25 % look clear ( more or less), the rest is a mix of amber/clear/ milky. Which tells me that i need to harvest the upper part off the gelato s quickly. The Green Gelatos seems to be ready after 8 weeks of flowering, and sometimes 9 weeks which i think is just about right for the gelato to the far left. No more nutrients, only water with a 6.4 ph. I switched to lamp on at night and even then i was hitting 30 degrees or more, night time temps ( during the day) are even warmer for the ladies. I don t wan t this in week 8, it sucks, and i m pretty sure these kind of temps are not good for the health of the gelatos. There are no big problems, but it does have some influence. Bringing in some extra fresh air with an intake, does seems to help a little bit. Around 35 cm distance seems to be the sweet spot for my DIY COB led build, this is good to know. update; the 3rd gelato is getting to many yellow leaves, and stopped doing anything after flushing for six days. Going to give nutrients for 2 days and then start flushing again. It will be a short flush, but 2 days of feeding should be gone after a 2 or 3 days flush. I ve never done a flush before, so i have made the mistake off flushing to early.

all 3 are dry, i m happy with the result. The 4th lady is an other strain, but if i had 4 gelato s i could have had more then 200 grams. Between 1.0 and 1.5gr/watt seems to be an amount that is feasible with my setup.

Not ready with the harvest, so final numbers are for next week. I can t say much about the taste yet. Until now i can say there is a clear high, with a mellow body stone kicking in 20 or 30 minutes later, when i vape a small amount. Vaping a bigger amount makes the vape a bit more trippy. Update; so with my DIY COB LED ( no reflectors, its a bad choice to use them) i can get a good yield, i m sure with some more experience and a better use of my growing space i can get a bigger yield. The buds i m curing are getting better all the time. They are getting a nice delicate fragrance.

Hey there! Your plants look nice and healthy! I'm not familiar with this specific strain, but it looks like they're about to take off! I'd expect to see some stretching over the next week or two as it transitions fully into flowering. Are you planning on pulling your humidity down a bit? 65% seems a bit high for flowering. You may want to shoot for 50% or lower. I'm pulling up a chair! Good luck, friend!

Hey man. Looking good. nice nugs spread out over the net. Just keep an eye out for burned tips due to overfeeding. The leaves pointing up hard can b a sign of strong feeding. very nice grow for noob :) groetjes
