Started germenting on 5/25, papya potted on the 26th, rest the 27th, put in Foxfarms Ocean Forest in a 7in pot, 4x4 Tent. So far only the papya has sprouted, but I'm having patience, photo was taken 5/30. Giving it a few weeks before I start training, transplanting and feeding with General Hydroponics, more to come
Some rapid growth out of this girl, sadly though her sisters appear to have not made it, I chalk it up to my inexperience. Gave papaya her first feed, very light, going to go feed-water-water for her cycle if I continue with this feeding schedule, seeing a little clawing that was present before feeding, should have looked that up before I fed, hoping the ocean forest isn't too hot, live and learn. Stay tuned for more updates, and balanced photos once I my setup figured out
New pot time! Put her into a 1 gal. smart pot on the 13th, so no more food for a little bit, growth is coming along, think clawing from previous update must have been fan or heat related. Waiting a few days for her to settle in to her new pot before I start topping her and training, have noticed today, the 15th, a single thrip, going to be treating with a potassium salt based soap. Will keep updating weekly, good or bad.
Chugging along, got her first top on friday, was waiting out some of the transplant stress, I'm going to grow a few more nodes and then transplant to her final pot a 5 gal. and then another top, going for a classic 4-way lst. then to train it all down, hopefully I'm hoping it wont be too late to start then, the thrips haven't shown themselves anymore luckily, but it seems she may have had a light ph imbalance or a sulfur deficiency but it seems to have cleared up after a flush, I'm very excited to proceed with her. As always, more to come
Progressing along steadily, She was topped on the 25th for her first time, I allowed her to recover from that than proceeded to administer my soap regimen at lights out, a day or two later I noticed this odd discoloration, luckily it is not spreading but some of the new growth looks odd, hoping its just from the topping and soap, would break my heart if it was TMV. Progressing until i see whats what, she got put into her final pot a 5 Gal. fabric pot on the 29th. Sorry for the late update this week, as always more to come, including a mid week update to add some photos of her in her new pot
I fell behind a week but here she is, my sweet heart has had a rough go of it this week, after her transplant I've been learning how to keep her watered, haven't need food yet since though, gave her her final top and will be training soon
Let her grow out her most recent top and than started tying her down, learned the hard way how much they can take, no structural damage but it broke her skin, already healing up nicely though. Still a fight to get her enough good clean water, I have very poor tap and not willing to invest in a ro filter yet. Sorry for the late update, trying to be more punctual, will keep updating
Lots of training this week, gave her a little wound doing it but its healing nicely, really booming after the last batch of training and i learned how thirsty these 5 gal. pots would be, going to continue on this path for maybe another week or two, neem treatment probably going to happen, I'm not seeing anything any more but I like preventative measures, and I want to avoid using it during or too close to flower, then flip. I am more than restless but am holding out for a nice yield, hoping to hold out till next harvest 😝. As always much love all, look forward to more post in the future and hopefully some nice colas here soon.👋
