So far so good, I’ve been watering small amounts every day at 6.5 PH, slowing increasing the quantity. I did top up the pot with more Promix HP - I was surprised how much it settled after a few days.
Really enjoying not having to worry about nutrients with the organic dry amendments.
Solid growth this week - hoping to top it above node 4 as long as comes in the next few days
I decided to top dress a bit of Gaia Green Rock Dust Blend at 1 tbsp/gallon on Day 10 - I have pretty soft tap water (90 PPM) so thought the extra minerals would be beneficial.
Another good week, this is a fast grower! Topped at Day 15 above the 4th node, it took it like a champ and I was seeing new growth by the next day.
Had some minor PM show up on some lower leaves during the week, this wasn’t surprising because I had a flowering plant in the same tent that I’ve been fighting it on. Finally got the other plant out of there so I gave the tent a good bleaching and sprayed this guy with a potassium bicarbonate spray for a few days.
Seems to have taken care of it for now but you can see the residue from the spray on the leaves.
Started LST’ing shortly after topping to get a nice even canopy. Another great week of growth, things are starting to smell pretty good in the ol tent. First top-dressing of Gaia Green coming up on Day 30.
Started to do some light defoliating near the end of this week to improve air flow and help light penetration, things were getting pretty hectic at the top of the canopy.
I’ve removed quite a bit of leaves (although it’s still a bit hard to tell by the pics) and so far it hasn’t seemed bothered in the least, so I’ll continue pulling a few more into next week.
Busy week! Late last week I started seeing some purple colours coming out which I thought was just natural as it’s been getting nice and cool during dark hours.
But then it started progressing into yellowing and some necrotic spotting, which led me to CalMag. I had thought the Gaia Green would have enough but I’m not super surprised as my tap water is quite soft at 90ish PPM.
Seems like it did the trick in any case - I’ve been using it daily for 4 days and I’m not really seeing any worsening in symptoms at this point.
Top dressed on Day 51 (3 weeks after last) @ 75% bloom and 25% veg.
@aNauticalDisaster, The plant is in pre-flowering. At this point it's okay to take out some leaves. Start by removing the ones that are further down and no longer catch light. After doing this wait a few days to see how she reacts. I guarantee you she will love it. After a few days of recovery, dare you to take some more. DO NOT FORGET. DO THE DEFOLIATION FROM THE BOTTOM TO THE TOP. After the second month don't do Defoliation if you don't have a lot of practice. But dare to do as I told you 💪⚡🤞 jahh bless
@Fatbudz thanks man! I just wasn’t sure if I should or not tbh, I see mixed opinions online about defoliating autos so I was a bit hesitant - this is only my 2nd grow and first time topping.
Think I should still do some? We’re on day 40 now
