Ooh wee, here I go, growing again! First auto grow! First grow with stabilized genetics for that matter. My experience is limited to one to many male photoperiods and a lovely lady regular seed which I harvested this May with many, MANY complications (big learning experience). I bet I'm prepared this time, and to prove it I'm going to trust the connoisseur's breeder Mephisto Genetics (and Sweet Seeds*). I've got my hands on some simple 7L pots (I feel like it's easier to control the feeding on a smaller pot + I don't need enormous plants), for another time I'd love to try air pots or fabric pots. I've got 50L of BioBizz Light Mix and the trio Bio Grow, Bio Bloom and Top max, tho I might get Fish mix too. I have yellow sticky traps and a mix of potassium soap with neem oil (I will prevent this time, plagues are my #1 enemy on this outdoor grow). I have some green electric cables if I desire to try some LST, which I will if at least one plant looks healthy enough. Finally I want to experiment with some foliar spray of algae/kelp extract, which I've only heard wonders about. For the moment I won't PH or EC my feedings, trusting the BioBizz environment, but this might change. Some other products which I don't know much about and will be considering are diatomaceus earth and cal-mag, the last which I don't think will be necesary. Other than that, I think BioBizz has me covered. I managed to get myself some Mephisto seeds, 3xHubbabubbasmelloscope and a Chemdogging freebie. Happens that they were most likely 5+ years old, and germination was slow and unsuccessful. My provider and the Mephisto staff confirmed it, so my provider gave me 4 Runtz XL Auto from Sweet Seeds (which I chose). I'll keep the 2 germinated Mephisto seeds, even tho the HBSS looks quite stunted, but I won't give up on that strain, and 1 ultra fresh and vigorous Runtz (harvested just in April). The Runtz is germinating right now and quite behind in schedule (at least a week) than the Mephisto's, but I think it'll catch up given that the Mephisto seedlings come from old seeds. The idea is to grow outdoors, while supporting them with more light indoors, making night temps good and comfy through veg. I'll try to keep an 18/6 schedule, and once they are big and strong they can stay outside. Using a 20W + 50W LED at about 60cm from the seedlings, and giving them gradual sunlight during the day. Should 60cm be ok for seedlings and veg with that LED power? Planting directly into 7L pots with BioBizz Light Mix, no additional supplements until 10cm.

How should I treat the seedlings regarding lighting? Is the 60cm from 70W of LEDs fine? Should I give them direct sunlight or not? If so, at what stage? Humidity domes or cups until what stage? Any tips for watering seedlings on big pots?

Slow growth, specially on the HBSS with only one functional cotyledon. Chemdogging seems a bit slow but ended the week with a second set of true leafs appearing. Not bad for the old seeds tho. On the other side, the Runtz seems quite fine. Had some light stress issues on day 2-3 so I gave them more distance from the lights, later on I put them closer but not nearly as close as before. Have been only feeding water, but now that we have some true leafs I want to foliar spray some Neem Oil + Potassium soap emulsion coupled with some kelp foliar spray. Hopefully this combats pests from the get go, as they are really vulnerable when outside (lots of plagues, planning on fumigating the area soon). Hopefully the kelp helps with growth, as I think they are mainly developing roots right now and growth seems slow (maybe it's the big pots for a seedling), and also it seems it helps with temp stress. Really scared about overwatering, my experience on autos is limited and feeding seedlings on a big pot is hard 😅.

I have doubts about applying some foliar sprays. I've used Neem Oil + Potassium Soap with some kelp liquid extract, together without any issues. The benefit of using it now is obvious, but, are my seedlings too small to handle foliar sprays? Could I harm them if I apply this mix?

Its best to hold off of foliar sprays until they are larger. I would also recommend on only using neem oil when needed and only during veg. It has been known to make bud smoke and taste really bad.

Day 9-8 seems fine, still a bit slow but starting to see some nice grow on the Chemdogging. I want to foliar spray as soon as possible to avoid pests and aid growth with kelp extract, help against temp stress too. Been watering better I believe. I also added a bit more soil on top so the stems would not be as lanky (and the pots can fit much more soil tbh). Not the best grow this week, specially considering I had bad weather outside, so had to keep them on indoor weak lights, but they seem healthy after the initial troubles. Hopefully with her own leafs the HBSS can start growing normally. Happy with the growth on the Chemdogging, tho it has a small hole in a leaf which started small but grew with it, hopefully it wasn't due to bugs. I'll be updating with the growth on the RuntzXL cause it's behind a week but seems like a large beast in the making. At the end of the week I started feeding the Mephisto's 1 ml/L of Bio-Grow.

@Sweet_Seeds, hell yeah! I have high hopes for that Runtz, really thanks for putting the seed's harvest day on the packaging, really gives me some security about the quality and freshness of the seeds. Let's see if this fresh Runtz can catch up to these old (but hopefully good quality) Mephisto seeds, the race is on. 😉
