Used happy frog and worm castings to fill cell pots at a 70/30 ratio. All seeds germinated successfully. (Planting with pointy end of the seed straight down about a finger nail deep)
Ending the first week of veg. This is the first season doing a grow journal. I’ll split these strains up into their own separate journals. And also keep this one going with them all together. I most likely will try out some main lining on these this round.
Ending the 2nd week of veg. Will be transplanting soon into 5 gal grow bags and changing light schedule to 18/6 soon. Waiting to see a root make it to the bottom of the cell pot first.
So this week I wanted to transplant on day 1 of week 3 but didn’t get the chance. Plants showed signs of hunger (nutrient deficiency). Transferred all strains on day 19 into 3 gallon fabric pots. Noticed some wanted a little more cal/mag so I gave them a foliage spray of calimagic mix with ro water ph at 6.5 they seem to be taking well to it. Also placed them into a tent under 300 watt Mars hydro tsl. Will be adding a uvb bar and allowing it to turn on 3 times a day for 15 minutes each time. Will increase that amount of time to one hour during flower.
* Day25- All plants recovered after transplant. Started looking happier with more food. Then started mainlining technique on all plants. Topped at 3rd or fourth node. Kept all growth under that node to speed up recovery and growth. Will be cleaning up everything under the node at the end of the week. Took before and after pics on day 25 to show the topping.
* Day 26- gave a tea of molasses and recharge.
* Day 28- recovered from first topping. Pics show the plants recovered from topping.
* Day 30 - gave 2nd top to some that were ready. Added some worm castings to the top soil. One Larry og isn’t liking things.
* Day 34- noticed ph being off may be what is causing my issue ph was around 5. Tried flushing but that did not help. So I added some dolomite lime. Hope to see results within a week. Also topped. Some plants have 8 tops. The slower bushier plant will not be topped again by flower. I am done with the amount of mainlining I want to do for this grow. Just lst from here.
* Day 40- they have started to look happier after the soil ph correction. The king Louis og that was flushed is very hungry. So I gave a top dressing of gai green 444 and worm castings.
* Day 42- Top dressed with 1 tbs per gallon of gai greens 444. All plants were hungry. Should show results in 4 days. Hopefully this feeding will get me through this last week or two of veg and the transition to flower. Will not be going into flower on the 12th like I planned. I want the plants to be a bit larger so that I can spread the tops out just a little more. And I may be taking clones.
* Day 43- watered with recharge. And sprayed with neem oil + half a teaspoon of dish soap. As a preventative measure to pests and pm. Will give another spray of this the day I flip to 12/12. Also changed light cycle to 18/6. Will flip to 12/12 on day 49.
* Day 44 defoliate lower part of all plants. Continued with more lst by pulling down the tops.
* Day 49 got it’s last spray before switching to 12/12.
* Started the 12/12 cycle for all strains. This first week will be considered transition/preflower and they should stretch. At the moment the canopy is pretty leveled. At 12 inches high.
* Day 11 watered with tea molasses and worm castings. Plants are looking better. Still stretching. Also added a little bit of armor si to the ro water this week to try and help raise soil ph and give the plants a little bit of added strength.
* Day 14 top dressed with 284 power bloom. From GG. Also did some defoliation to get better air flow during Flower. There’s slight wind burn on the bubbakush. But I feel like that isn’t going to be as bad as if there was lack of air flow. So I’ll just deal with the wind burn now. So I don’t have to deal with mold later.
