Kosher Cake Au(to) Naturel

microgrowshow Coming into this diary a little late so I'm lacking some pictures of the early stages, but not much to see in early veg anyway so 🤷‍♂️ ... Germination was quick with this one though, popped the bean in a shot glass for 48 hours and then straight into soil - 3 gallon living soil amended with Gaia Green products and 30% worm castings.

microgrowshow Strong and consistent growth, but the leave formation was a bit funky on the initial few sets that came out. Not quite as bad, but definitely reminiscent of freak show.

microgrowshow No pics were taken this week unfortunately. It was a good week nonetheless with steady growth throughout. Also started some light training with the lower branches towards the end of the week.

microgrowshow Again, no photos from this week unfortunately. Continued training the lower branches down but decided to leave the main stalk untouched, hence the au naturel reference. Hoping to get a nice fat main cola like Pot Portraits run that we all see on the Fastbuds product page.

microgrowshow Finally a week with some more pics, and that's because she really started taking off! I've continued with LST to the lowers and have been using these 3D printed plant clips throughout the plant to bend down branches to expose more of the inner bud sites. Definitely will be using the little things on future grows, it really does reduce the need for wire, which I gets in the way if you're growing organic and need easy access to the soil.

microgrowshow Exciting start to the first week of flowering with a nice streeeeeetch. Decided to install some supplemental LED strips as well in hopes of beefing up the lower branches since I've been keeping them so low compared to the main. It's not much, but hopefully the extra 48 watts will help!

microgrowshow Continuing to stretch like it's nobody's business. Kind of wish I super cropped, but I think I should be fine aka I won't have this cola hitting the light by the end 🙃 ...I'm seeing some nice growth on the lowers from the LST so I'm hoping these will amount to some decent buds with the extra help of the LED strips down there. Here's to hoping!

microgrowshow Still stretching 🙄 but I think she's almost done! I will say, she's exactly the shape I was after, and that main cola is going to be my biggest indoor cola for sure. Exciting times ahead!
