Well, after years of collecting and breeding I have decided to document my own genetic endeavors. I took a Papaya sorbet F2 mother that I selected out of many phenotypes and crossed her with my most aggressively handsome Jorge's F2 Male. The parental lines were something I was having fun just inbreeding until I got some spectacular short and bushy traits from my mother with frosty stick dense nugs and the male was quite vigorous and took anything that was thrown at him like a champ. The terpene profiles of each plant should compliment each other quite nicely. Cannot wait to see and try the resulting offspring and work out a name, I am the worst when it comes to that 😂
Sadly after a week nothing has popped. We will try again with another single seed next week.
AAAAAND she sprouted! I feel kinda proud right now! Had to take special care of this little girl, she had a broken shell and was drying out but after a few hours in moist soil she came back and we cleaned her up a bit to help her along before she went back in the soil.
well after a second attempt and some tlc we have life folks! hooray!!! I am happy to have something I actually bred take root and turn into something magical.
EDIT well, in the time it took for me to go home to see family on Halloween my roommate completely forgot about my seedlings and she died. i will pick this back up again once I have more space, as i currently have 12 plants on the go in two tents. i will keep trying seedlings to see if they pop
WELL WELL WELL. THIRD TIMES A CHARM. well, that and nerve wracking seed surgery... the shells were abnormally thick and hard and thus had to resort to soaking, scraping , and then slightly squeezing to crack the bottoms, only after that did good taproots form and once I got rid of the helmet head I stuck em in some neutral soil and hoped for the best.
well other than a little feed not too much happening this week. only gave them a teaspoon of veg feed each. little stretch happening so when i repot them ill defoliate the bottom a bit and bury it further down, get some extra root mass out of them. only rehoming them to 1 gal pots when i do to see if any males pop up off of cuttings. would ideally like to inbreed this if it is stable and shows promise, or at the very least i have some of the fathers pollen left. oh look, a male! Hes only two weeks old and has male sites all over. gonna move him to my desk under a grow lamp and keep him short and just use him for pollen.

The female I have plans to clone and breed back with her fathers pollen as well as inbreed with her brothers pollen. Just for those who are curious I ran out of gaia green back when the first couple of attempts didnt pan out.
Well, the male is proud of his lil flowers, living large and tall, stretching into the light like a jerk every few hours, im running out of boxes to stack the lamp on. the female finally threw hairs on day 24, they showed up in the evening as they werent there during morning inspection. these two are going to be bred together, hooray! both got rehomed earlier in the week, probably could have left the male a bit longer as he wasnt nearly root bound at all, but the female needed it bad., and then again like 4 days later, man she grows like a little palm tree compared to her brother, probably going to back cross and inbreed
@Afrogerweed,Thanks! its been a week and no luck so far, sadly, but they did dry out a bit while I was away in another province. I fixed that and hopefully we should see life!
