starting diary on 19/10/2021 as placeholder. Seeds have arrived and i will be germinating them in the following days when my previous grow is done drying.
Both plants have had their soil enriched according to the BioTabs "Just add water" method. I will just be adding tap water that has been sitting for about 24 hours.
Will also try to set up an old phone to take timelapse pics
the strain is Auto Big Gun but this is not yet in the Growdiaries database. Will change diary info when this is fixed
the one whose stem almost snapped has started to show discoloration, my SF-1000 is at 55%, 75cm from the plants, i'm not sure if i should dim it any more than this. i'll see how she progresses as her sister seemst to be doing very well.
one of my two young plants is showing what kinda looks like light stress.
im assuming she's wayyy too young to be nutrient deficient.
my SF-1000 is at 60%, 75cm from the plants. her sister seems to be doing perfectly fine
I think it looks like it needs to dry out a bit.
That being said. i HAVE the same light.
If that were my plant now i'd have it 60 cm away, on full power.
i use this table
germination 60-75cm
seedling 60cm
full veg 40-60cm
flowering 30-45cm
So far I've only ever grew short lst plants but with these distances buds are pretty dense...

the smaller plant ended up getting much worse. pulled her out and planted a new seed.
-day 19: topped the big one, removed one of the big leaves and started some LST
-day 20: some more LST time.
-day 22: spread out the main branches with garden ties. the two top nodes are still growing freely but i bend them a little with my finger every time i check on them
first pistils also showed up today!
Keeping her main branches as horizontal as i can.
she's starting to get smelly so i installed my carbon filter, more pistils are popping up every day.
I'm wondering when i can stop guiding her horizontally and let her main branches to up. posting grow question.
When should i stop horizontal LST and let her main branches to vertically? i'd say she's well into preflower with pistils popping up everywhere and the smell getting noticable. LST hasn't gone this well in my previous grows so i'm not sure where to end it.
Let her climb right now and if she stretches a lot can lst branches out more to keep more light, and air going in center. Would be my approach. Good luck and happy growing 🌱
she's starting to grow upwards pretty fast, smell is increasing noticably!
still very pleased with the BioTabs "just add water" method. leaves seem very dark green but not enough for me to be worried about N-toxicity
in about a week the flowers really grew in size and you can smell it! she's very enthousiastic and is drinking quite a lot of water now too.
Just adding water with a little of pH-down because my tap water is quite basic. Not measuring it exactly since that shouldn't be needed with my nutrients. but im aiming for just under 7
Flowering is now well underway.
I felt like she was getting a bit bushy so i tied some of the outer branches down, might defoliate a bit in a few days depending on how she responds.
Also added a bit of CalMag to the water as she was showing some signs of deficiency.
So far the biotabs seem to have been enough to keep her going strong. No additional nutrients were added except for the calmag.
I felt like this girl was getting a bit too bushy and dense so i spread her out a little bit,
I was wondering if maybe i was going a little too hard considering she probably wont stretch much more and is mostly focused on flowering.
Done the exact same thing before but later on 3rd/4th week of flower and i dont recomend it that late.. At this stage 2nd week of flower should be ok to lst them they will slightly come back up.
Definetly not late but maybe you will have to support those branches later or to reduce that risk just open it up slightly i mean dont bend them so much
I do recomend opening it slightly if you want to have more light penetration and airflow,
Nothing should happen tho you should be good to go.
she's now starting a nice fade, turning a bit brown/yellow/purple depending on where you look
smell isn't extremely strong but very pleasant and sweet. kinda like berries.
Im still only giving a bit of calmag every watering and she seems to be doing great
she's getting smellier and smellier which nice! both the leaves and flowers are gtting pretty purple, golfball sized buds are getting pretty dense from what i can tell.
i feel like she'll be ready soon. trichomes are getting a little milky but no amber ones on the buds yet, only on the leaves.
Any advice on how long she'll likely take would be appreciated!
