first ever grow

so I been using bio root and seaweed for it putting it in my gallon sprayer I sprayer the full gallon to all my plants but only wet the soil where the leaves are reaching out and the then rest I water with 6.8 ph water (normal tap water for my location which is nice) because they are on 7 gallon bags and I don't want to waste stuff if I don't have to. my confirmation email won't work so based on the comments I raised my lights form 28 inches to 34 inches and it looks like they're reaching for the sky more and I am stressing them down a ton because I want to veg for as long as possible and the lemon I been reading gets big.
