Wedding Cake/Neil Peart Grow (1st Grow)

October 13, 2021 Moving Pictures was sitting on the turntable in my brothers room, and as a 13 year old jock in the early 80's, I noticed some weed next to it. I had not smoked any weed yet at that age, so my first thought as a faithful member of Generation X was to put this album on and smoke some weed. My brother would kick my sorry ass out of his room if he knew I was in there doing anything...rebel I was, so I DROPPED THE NEEDLE on the vinyl and rolled a joint for the first time, and sparked it up. I suddenly became a modern day warrior of pot and RUSH. My skinny but muscular 98 lb wrestler arms then came alive, arm drumming to the Professor, Pratt. Amen. In memory of Neil Peart and Lerxst and Dirk. The lyrics by Neil Peart quoted are from the song "The Garden" on Clockwork Angels, the last song on the last album. I pay 38% tax here in LA, so growing is the way to roll. I realize this now after spending thousands of dollars on pot. Wow. It does add up over the years. I approach this grow with a philosophy to minimize cost and utilizing materials and spaces that are currently in possession. Humility is my attitude. I welcome comments, suggestions, and obtaining growing intelligence in the Spirit of ONE of the best drummers in history. I love this strain. I feel the Durban Poison in Wedding Cake during the day, almost buzzing like a 20 mg Adderall XR. The Grand-Daddy Purple loves to manifest itself during sex (hence the Wedding). At night, the OG Kush that fills the genetics with it's indica effects soothes me when I flatten my body and supinate on my bed. Sleep is not interrupted. Wedding Cake is one of the best strains for me. Seems like there is some question about the lineage and genetics of this lately, as different lineages are written about in the press. Cherry Pie x GSC right? Clone Guy Industries are considered the best clones in LA, although I have not heard all opinions on this. They list Triangle Kush x Animal Mints, which each have entirely different genetics and lineages according to what is written. What the fuck? I had a cat keel over on the kitchen floor on Xmas morning when I was a small child in the 70's. Wow, the 70's. Each day I wish I was living in the 70's. Hey, you guys lay down on the ground next to this plywood ramped on a this big concrete block, and I will soar over you guys with my bike! Just like Evel Knievel!! The dude Sabbath ate a Poinsettia. He was a black cat. Red Barchetta (Clone #2) was unscathed. I decided to use a small 1.5X1.5x 4 closet in my bathroom. I have many options in my small home. Future grows will expand. I have the space to grow many plants in a bigger closet space and I will invest in a light more appropriate for yields that give more. Free electricity, yet I believe in science of climate change. We are absolutely fucked. I will lessen my carbon footprint with my own grows regardless of how much electricity I use, well, to a certain point I am sure. Factor in the wild use of electricity consumption with commercial grows, use of gas driving to my dispensary, the time wasted standing in line, waiting in traffic, ect. I have FREE electricity in my lease. But, for now I want to see what psychedelics I can conjure up in this space. I want to learn and grow as these two plants grow forth. I found a couple of A19 Grow lights and two sockets with cords, a timer, Fox Farms nutrient shit, two pots I already had that were around my yard, blowing in the Santa Ana winds, and a fan that I run in the hot and sweltering heat of the San Fernando Valley. The heat has left and fall is upon Los Angeles. We have seasons here. More defined now as compared to 1996, when I first wallowed in the vicissitudes of lightness and darkness of this awesome city, the City of Angels. Looks like way too many prepositions in that thar sentence. When stoned on Wedding Cake, time is quite distorted. It's lovely. I see discoloration on a set of leaves of Red Barchetta. Cygnus X-1 shows the ill effects of Judes teeth, but the dude looks like survival is in the genes. Cygnus X-1, Red Barchetta and I must walk the road together together. With love and respect, I am thankful there are no Maples around, cause they even ignore the Oak's pleas. Rush was a big part of my life. Coming to terms with the death of Neil Peart in January 2020 was extraordinarily difficult for millions of people on Earth. Yes, I am sure there are millions of Neil Peart fans. He touched many lives with his words. Millions of these Neil Peart fans are experts at the Science and Art of Air Drumming. I myself am an expert at Air Drumming the song Xanadu from A Farewell to Kings. I could not listen to the music of Rush from January 2020 until a couple months ago while listening to Moving Pictures again. Apple Music has a new mix of the song Tom Sawyer, not announced or noted anywhere. But I notice. I listened to this song a few times since those early days. It is a great mix. Smoke a doobie and press play. It's cool. Do you notice? This is my first grow. I don't need big. I am doing this spontaneously and I want to learn. I am surely making mistakes already....but I want to drink the milk of paradise and dine on honeydews....
