Black Dog LED Phytomax 2 400 Kit Grow #2

Week 3 is slow growing. Blue Dream #1 & #3 are growing faster then Blue Dream #2 and Sweet Tooth. Keeping on RO water when growing medium is moist. Water 1 hour after light comes on. Mid week Blue Dream #2 started to droop a little. Depending on how they grow I may put on Veg Nutes week 4. Running 2 Humidifiers in grow room right by grow tent.

Week 3 continued to be a slow to no grow week. Took the Humidity top off the Sweet Tooth pot on day 20. Day 22 I spoke with Black Dog LED and decided to go 25% of recommended Remo Nutes Veg. I Aerated the RO Water & Nutes for 5 minutes then used about 1/4 of a gallon to water the 4 young girls. Vacuumed up all water as usual. Then to bring the Humidity up, I ran a tube from one of the Humidity Misters I have in my grow room. Set at 70% and Humidity in the tent went to 50%. If this Feeding & Humidity does not help the growth of my 3 Fem Blue Dream & 1 Fem Sweet Tooth girls, I will scrap my 2nd grow and move to Jack Herer Auto Flowers. This is my 1st try at Non Auto Fem Seeds. So far not too good. Day 22 I put the Humidity Mister inside the Tent and set to 55%. Now Humidity is at 50%. After Feeding 25% Nutes, the Girls Perked Up! Now they are Happy Campers! Justin at Black Dog LED's advise has saved my plants again!

Week 3 and Week 4 had me go out of town for 5 days and used an Auto feeder for 1 feeding. I used the Restmo Micro Drip Water Pump Timer Kit I got from Amazon for $33. Using 25% of the recommended Remo nutes for Veg. Playing around with the humidifier in the tent so it does not blow directly on the Black Dog LED 420 Watt light. With the Humidity at 50% with 84 Degree days and 65 Degree nights, the 3 Blue Dreams are doing great and the Sweet Tooth has continued its turn around to a thriving little girl.

Week 4 was discussed in week 3. I was basically out of town and used an auto feeder for 1 feeding on Day 28.

Week 5 saw the 3 Blue Dream and 1 Sweet Tooth start to really grow. Day 34 I moved the light up to 19" above the canopy to accommodate the Humidifier not blowing into the light. Day 35 I caught my first slight smell of the Blue Dream. It was wonderful :). Veg will probably go 10-12 weeks due to the slow start of not proper 50% Humidification and waiting until the 3rd week to start Nutes. I also planted all my seeds directly into the HP Pro Mix. I did not start from clones, nor did I plant from the Paper towel method. I had good results on my 1st grow with Auto Flowers direct in soil, so I went that for this 2nd grow of these feminized Non Autos.

Day 37 I continued to feed 25% of Remo's recommended Veg Nutes while running Humidifier in the tent to keep Humidity at 50%. Day 39 All 4 girls are responding good to the feeding and Humidity. Day 40 I fed again. Looks like they are needing fed every 3rd day. Cleaned up some lower leaves that are getting into the soil and dying. Day 41 Measured Blue Dream #1 4.25 Inches, BD#2 3.75, BD#3 3.75 and Sweet Tooth 4.0 Inches. Slow growing again due to no clones but seed to soil, and Humidity too low through week 3. Girls are all back on track now. Looking to move to 5 Gal Pots this next week.

Veg day 47 I transplanted 2 Blue Dreams & 1 Sweet Tooth into 5 Gal Smart Pots. I put 1 Blue Dream into a 3 Gal Smart pot. This was my first use of a smart pot and I want to see if the Blue Dream grows any better in a 5 gal vs. 3 gal. On day 43, all 4 looked really bad and drooping. I fed on day 44 and they all perked up 100%. At this point I am guessing 10 weeks of Veg as they are growing slow. Perhaps in the larger pots they will grow faster. However, in my transplanting I did not notice any roots at the bottom of the smaller pots as I did with my 1st grow of Auto flowers. I jacked up the 3 Gal pot to the level of the 5 Gal pots so all will get the same light. When I watered in the new pots I used Nutrient RO Water. I am seeing some leaf tip burn so next feeding will RO water only.

Week 8 the girls continue to grow any they have shot up 3 inches and got much bushier in a week. I skipped a feeding and went with RO Water. The plants responded well to the water except for Blue Dream #3 (in the 3 Gal smart pot) which got a little nutrient deficiency by going from Dark green to lighter green. Moving forward Feed -Feed- Water. I may also adjust the nutes from 25% to higher if the girls experience more nutrient deficiency moving forward.

Week 9 I kept in Veg as they are still not ready for flower. Day 57 I Topped the Plants Day 63 I defoliated the bottom of the plants. Probably bottom 20%. Also removed many of the very big Sativa Fan leaves. Water/Feed cycle is Feed-Feed-Water. The girls seem to like this. Also upped the nutrients from 25% of the recommended amounts to 30% of the recommended amount. No nute burn. I have also been moving the plants in the tent to see if one spot is better than the others. So far I am seeing no difference. The Phyto-max2 400 LED is a top of the line LED and doing great work! I may go 10 weeks in Veg before I flip to flower. Being this is my 2nd grow and the 1st were Auto Flowers, this grow is taking forever!

Last week for Veg. Upped the Veg nutes from 25% Recommended Remo nutes to 34% of the recommended Remo Nutrients. Moved the plants around within the Tent with little results. Day 70 did semi major defoliation removing many of the big Fan leaves covering the lower tiers. Day 72 Last Feeding on Veg Nutes. Day 73 Flipped to Flower going from 18/6 Light to 12/12 Light.

Week 11 was the 1st week on flower. Day 73 I flipped to flower Day 76 - Since I am going Feed/feed/water, my next was water via RO Flush, I flushed the 4 plants with 4 Gallons and measured the PH & PPM of the runoff. Early in the week I noticed Blue Dream ##1 with shriveling up leaves. After the RO flush, they filled out good. I have also been defoliating many of the larger leaves to make way for smaller bud sites to get light. Grow Girls Grow!

In my 2nd week of Flower: Day 81 I did my 1st Flower Nutrients running 6 Gallons over the 4 girls. Did some medium defoliation. Rearranged the girls to see if there are better spots within the tent. There is not. The Phytomax-2 400 LED Light is the Bomb! Day 83 cleaned up the bottom 1/3 of the Plants to focus energy to the top Bud formations. I also moved the light up as the girls are growing! Overall, my 2nd grow is slower than dirty but moving along better now in flower.

Week 13 the girls are all starting to get the very first pre buds forming. I noticed some tuned up yellowing of a couple of leaves. Day 86 (Day 12 of Flower) gave the 2nd Feeding of RO Water and Remo Flowering Nutes. Did some minor Defoliation of the yellowing leaves and general clean up. Day 88 Did major Defoliating of Blue Dream #3 (in the 3 Gal Smart Pot) and noticed no new yellow or turned up leaves. I think the yellowing upturned leaves may be due to needing nutes. Day 89 Continued big defoliation of the rest of the Blue Dreams and Sweet Tooth all in 5 Gal Smart pots. Day 91 Ran 4 Gallons of RO water as part of my Feed-Feed-Water routine. Very little runoff of the water. Next time 6 Gallons! Overall the girls are doing great!

Week 14 has the 4 girls in bud formation mode. Day 95 Fed 4 Gallons of Nutrients over the 4 girls. PH 6.0 and .7PPM with nutes in the water. Day 97 some of the leaves are starting to yellow and burned ends. Day 98 spoke with Black Dog LED and decided to take Nutrients from 25% Of recommended Nutes by Remo Brands, to 33% where I had been feeding since flower. So far still going Good!

Some of the leaves are all getting orange/yellowish on the perimeter of the leaves. Day 99 I fed with 4 Gallons of Nute Water over the 4 Plants. I took advice of Black Dog LED Guru's and upped the nutes to 33% of Remo Recommended nutes. Day 100 Blue Dream #1 Plant started the Orange/Yellowish on some of the leaves. Bud Production is doing good! Day 102 all 4 of the Girls started to get Orange/Yellowing - Again for the most part on the perimeter of the leaves only Day 103 I RO Watered with 6 Gallons over the 4 girls. Measured the runoff with nothing standing out

In Extended week #16 the girls have stopped growing and bud formation is in full swing. The Topping turned out great with no Christmas trees! I may scrog the girls but want to see how big the Buds get and if they need it. Day 106 I De-foiled some of Orange and Yellowing leaves Day 108 after speaking with Black Dog LED I decided to keep the Nutrients at 25% of Remo recommended. Fed all girls each getting about 1 Gal of Nutrient RO water. Then Vacuumed all water up and measured run off. Day 112 Gave the 2nd Nutrient feeding and next will be 6 Gal of RO Water. Feed - Feed - Flush.

Week 17 since seed to soil. Week 6 of Flower has excellent bud formation and everything going along great! Day 114 I moved the Black Dog LED light up from 18" to 22" above the canopy. Day 117 I did the Big 6-Gal RO watering or flush which perked up Blue Dream #1 from drooping. Measured the runoff. Switched Plant positions in the tent. Day 119 - Finally the Smell I had been waiting for. Moderate smell and frosty buds! The Sweet Tooth strain is getting more Purple by the day! Overall, the long wait is finally over here in week #6 of flower where the Buds are getting Sticky, Stinky, and Beautiful!

In uncharted territory I have arrived at week 18! 73 days of Veg and has been flowering 55 days. The Sweet Tooth on day 124 started to look Purple! Buds are getting MORE Frosty and are at mid smell level. Day 123 - I fed 4 Gallons of Remo Flower Nutes - Mixed in RO Water and PH'ed to 6.0 over the 4 Girls. Getting most runoff off Blue Dream #3 who is in a 3 Gallon Smart Pot, while the others are in 5 Gallon Smart Pots. Day 124 Defoliated the burned, yellowed, brown, and other leaves. Sweet Tooth Turned Purple! Daily I used the Black Dog LED provided 60X viewer with light to look at the Trichromes on each plant. All are Clear. When I notice some Ambering, I plan on starting the Pre Harvest. I don't think I will need to scrog these girls. The Long Journey for these girls is almost over!

I am looking every day at the Trichomes to tell me it Harvest time. All I am seeing is Clear. I will try to take a pic of the trichomes but need to get creative to do so. Day 127 Fed with 4 Gal Remo Nutes and Measured Runoff. Day 131 Flushed/Watered with 6 Gallons of RO Water and measured Runoff Day 132 Some of the Trichomes on Blue Dream #1 and Sweet Tooth are getting cloudy. Girls are getting more Stinky and Beautiful. I really hope that I start seeing Lots of Amber Trichomes soon!

In week 20 this Marathon Grow is almost there. Some clouding and Ambering but mostly CLEAR Trichomes! Day 136 Fed with only 2 Gallons of Nutes with very little runoff Day 137 I noticed 2 Cola's (Buds) from Blue Dream #1 had fallen over. I scrogged the girls and propped up the 2 fallen hero's. Day 139 I used Pipe Cleaners to hold up one of the Blue Dream #1 Cola's. The pic shows the scrog not helping her too much. Day 140 Fed 1.5 Gallons of Nutes. Yes, I slowed down the nutes but will pick up next feeding prior to the flush if they do not amber. I noticed that more of the top Cola's of all the Girls have more Ambering than the lower Cola's. Praying that all my Girls start Ambering soon! Update - Day 145 Trichome shots finally! Still relatively clear with 35% Ambering. Gave Full 3 Gallons Nutes yesterday for the Last Supper and will do a 10 Gallon Flush once they dry out starting the Pre Harvest!

Finally, we are at the end and in pre- harvest! Day 144 - The Last Supper for the Girls! Fed 3 Gallons of PH'ed & PPMed Nutes. Vacuumed up runoff. Day 148 - I flushed with 8 Gallons of RO water (4 + 4). Flushed out the remaining salts and nutes. All 4 girls are rock hard! Measured Runoff PH, PPM, Day 151 - Boom Boom Out go the lights! Started 48 hours of Darkness. Harvest is Day 153 coming up! I have done 2 grows with Remo Nutes and I am getting 2 Foot Flower with burned tips using 25% Of Remo recommended. My 3rd grow I will be switching up to Advanced Nutrients in the starter kit. I want to see if the nutes will make the Jack Herer Auto grow taller & bushier. I also will be scrapping the Smart pots. The 3 gallon smart pot is smaller than the same Blue dream strain in the 5 gallon smart pots. So I will go back to the 5 Gallon Plastic pots that were included in my Black Dog LED Kit. UPDATE: Day 153 - HARVESTED! 8 Hours to Harvest the 4 Girls by myself. Wet trimmed and they smelled and looked great! I will add to the Harvest pics and reviews after drying, as I do not feel it is right to weigh the weed when wet. My auto's on my 1st grow took 13 days. I and drying the same in my Black Dog LED tent and exhausting our Humidity >60%.

I can't say more than I have in my grow diary. My Grow started very slow with not giving nutrients early enough. This was my 1st Non Auto grow and 2nd grow ever. I did not weigh my girls Wet. Dry, they weigh as follows: Sweet tooth 2.4oz, Blue Dream #1 2.69oz, Blue Dream #2 2.89oz, and Blue Dream #3 1.38oz Total 9.36 Ounces. The Blue Dream #3 was the only one in a 3 Gallon Smart Pot as opposed to a 5 Gallon Smart Pot. The 3 Gallon Smart pot grew significantly less than the 5 Gallon. My goal is 1 Pound out of my Black Dog Kit!

Sweet Tooth had beautiful buds which ended up a little purple mid flower stage. While Blue dream needed help in the Scrogg net, Sweet Tooth had very strong and developed branches that held the large cola's up. Dry weight in a 5 Gallon Smart pot is 2.69 Ounces. Curing now in the Black Dog LED Kit provided Curing Container.
