GrowCNanswered grow question 3 years ago Poppies usually bloom in spring when the days are still getting longer so they do not flower based on the length of daylight. In some respects they are like auto's where you just plant them and they are on their own schedule.
I would cut off one of your plants and only have one plant per pot. Poppies can get rather large when given enough space but they are easily stunted by overcrowding. And, bigger plants do produce more, bigger flowers. I would not attempt transplanting. They are very easily killed by transplanting even at a much younger age so I would just cut one plant off so you don't disturb the roots of the other.
