A friend and I finished building our setup and got our first seed of Green Love Potion sown. We are not using any fancy nutes or anything, just feeding pH adjusted water.
We had a minor incident regarding some pH down earlier this week but she has bounced back nicely. Lots of new leaves developing and almost ready to tie some branches down
Slight smell starting to develop, unsure if we have switched schedule too soon but space is a big factor and from what we have seen in terms of the same strain she gets pretty big pretty fast once in flower.
Flowering nicely, some nice trichomes forming early on and starting to get a little more chunky. Starting to smell very nice too, classic skunk sort of aroma so far
Buds are starting to take nice shape and should be due to swell soon. Some light defoliation of lower leaves.

green love potion almost a full 5wks into flower and today I noticed some rusty spots on a few fan leaves as well as purpling at the tips. The only leaves affected so far are the one pictured and they are near the bottom of the main cola, is this anything to worry about?
My guess; if the brown spots are only on the main cola, it may be as simple as those leaves not getting much air movement getting a little light burn. But if those are the only spots I wouldn’t worry.

Flowering day 35 -right on cue at the start of week 6 we have some slight fattening starting, main cola has gained 1/2inch in the last 24hrs!! Starting to get mixed aromas of pine and fruits with a skunky dankness to it.
Flowering day 36 - all tops are starting to take a stretch and really stacking up the flowers... approximately 20 days until she’s ready

Your harvest time frame will come when your plants trichomes start to mature and she thickens up a bit.

Smell is developing nice fruity notes and a nice lavender hint in there as described by the breeder. Buds are solid and extremely sticky to the touch
Flower day 45 - nice amount of swelling and lots of juicy looking trichomes too, some are starting to turn cloudy, time to flush soon?
Flower day 48 - close look at trichomes show mostly cloudy, will let soil dry and start flush in 4-5 days
Really nice smells developing on some extremely dense, compact sticky buds.
Flowering day 50 - no more nutes now, allowing soil to dry for a further 4 days before starting our flush
Will keep this question open until a dry weight is recorded....

Initial smoke report from a sample bud harvested a few days prior is very flavourful and not harsh in the slightest, really excited to try it after proper curing for a couple weeks!
Nice buds for your first grow man. One thing I noticed is early flower week 1 your temp difference was 13 degrees between day cycle and night cycle. In veg & early flower up to week 4,5,6 depending on strain a large change in temp between lights on and off say more than 10 degrees, will result in the plant stretching a lot. Once the plant has completed its vertical growth then it is beneficial to allow more than 10 degree changes in temps the energy will instead be directed into the budding process and resin production instead of causing the plants to stretch. You can control your growth much better when you understand the growth stages of the cannabis plant. It is good to see your tent never got too hot, Temps above 82 will cause the buds to get big and airy we want nice dense nugs that is where the weight is.
Try and keep the temps within 9 degrees for all of veg & early flower once you do not see any more vertical growth out of the plants slowly begin dropping your night time temps & allowing for a wider gap between lights on and off. Keep up the good work!

@CrazyHorse, she is smelling amazing, slightly disappointed that the smaller buds are too small to stay dense though 😕.... but all in all can’t complain about the results from an 8+ year old seed done as a test grow with basically no growth training, zero experience, learning as we went and essentially just winged it to see what sort of results our setup would give us
