So I'm decrease this eventually down to 2 plants. It'll only be in the 4" pots for about another week and then they well be going into the autopot system. There's going to be some major changes done to my grow space. New light, new trellis netting system, co2 (hopefully), more reflective mylar etc.
I'm also going to be using a bit more nutrients this go around then last. Last grow I was only feeding 400-600ppm veg 800-900ppm flower. This go around I'm going to be aiming for 600-800ppm veg and1100-1200ppm flower this time. When it comes to co2 ive got the Grozone Co2R unit to control both my co2 from my 20 pound bottle, but to also control my air duct system so that I won't lose any co2 to the fans. I'm going to keep the co2 level during veg around 600ppm and then turn it up to 900ppm during flower. Might cost me a bit, but hopefully it'll help to increase my yeild more then it cost lol.
I'm going to be building a trellis netting this time from PVC tubing and making sure the nets a lot closer this go around. I want to be able to get a nice ScrOG effect this go around more so the last. Also fewer plants and more space for them.
Well that's all, happy growing everyone!!!!
And then there was just two. Switched them from The 4" pots to the 6" pots. Also did a 60/40 mix this time with the coco and perlite. Going to keep them in this small tent for a few more days and then move them to the main room when the cleaning and "renos" are done.
Well I'm unintentionally down to just 1 plant now. Apparently my youngest (just turned 2) has figured out how zippers work and got into my tent and killed the other one (along with 1 other and damaged another). I was going to move them outside and repot into my autopots but my grow place is out of coco tell Wednesday so I have to wait for it to come in. Also this plant isn't looking the greatest rite now, so just incase it does a header I started seeding 2 Zombie Kush plants to possibly replace this in my main room.
Well that's all, happy growing everyone.
So it's moving day for the plants. Guy at the grow shop told me that my root control disc's won't be in tell the 9th. So I moved them too 1 gallon pots on the 2nd. Then he calls me up on the 4th and tells me they are in.... if I had know they were going to be in on the 4th I would have left them in the last pots.... oh well. I'll give then tell the 9th and then repot them.
So I had a extra plant that I was growing for my dad. But unfortunately I won't be able to get it to him like I was planning for Christmas due to massive flooding In his area and near me. It's been just over a month since the flooding and mud slides started and it's still next to impossible to get to him without having to do about 15 hours of driving that includes crossing the boarder. So I might keep it going and put it with the other under the SF-4000 light unless something changes.
Did some Fiming on the plants to start there training. Ones I get the ScrOG set up there well be a lot more training for them.
Well thats all so happy growing everyone.
Well there in the autopots and everything is running. Had a few issues getting it all set up. First one of my tee connections snapped and then one of my inline filters snapped to. Getting the tee was easy but because I'm still running the older autopots, not the ones with the aqua5 valve, the filter was a bit harder to get. But I was able to get the last 2 from one of the local grow shop. After I got the lines all done set the tank up and opened the valve and watched for small leaks. Found 2, fixed them and now everything is running perfectly.
I moved the light up a few inches to lower my DLI to 45 because it was up to almost 60 with the height I had the SF-2000 at and that's way to high for this stage. I'm hoping that lowi g I amd with the autopot system now running both pla ts well start to look better. There both not really looking the greatest but they are both looking better now then they did 48 hours ago ill tell you that.
Well that's all for now. Happy growing everyone!!!
I'm getting a bit worried about the bigger plant. I had a brain cake that did the same thing and it ended up going to shit shortly after going to flower. I'll be keeping a close eye in it and if it starts to go south, I'll be cutting her down. The smaller one is a bit stunted but it's slowly catching up. I'm sure it'll be ok.... rite lol
Humidity and temperature have had a bit of a swing back and forth this last few days. Humidity has been jumping from 60 down to 42 and temperature has been having a few spikes but thankfully the duct system has been helping with that. I did a clean and a some maintenance on my dehumidifier to see if that well help. Hopefully it's not cramping out on me (had it for a few grows) but if it does I'm upgrading to a quest dehumidifier.
I had a bit of a swing with my Ph and temperature in my rez. It jumped up to 6.4 so I lowered it down to 5.8. It went back up to 6 but hasn't gone up much past that since then. The temperature in the room drops down to 13c at night and so I have been using a 50w tank heater to keep it warm. Unfortunately a few times it's gotten the tank a lot warming then I'd like (24.5 - 24.9c). So I've had to turn it off during the day and then turn it back on at night. So now it goes back and forth between 20c and 23.5c.
So I did a defoliation to start the week, at most I removed about 6-8 leaves per plant, so not much. Next day I FIMed them and then 4 days later decided to top them lol. Still got a lot of work to do. Going to do a bit of LST over the next week and then after Christmas I'm going to set up a SCRog net.
Well that's all everyone, happy growing and marry Christmas growmies!!!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!!
We have had some crazy cold weather here the last 4 days and for the first time in 13 years had snow on Christmas day. So with the cold and snow came grow room issues. My grow space is outside and not attached to the house so maintaining a proper temperature and humidity has been a bit on the difficult side. Even with the lights running 24 hours, it's had a few drops down to 19c and the humidity has gone up to 68% a few times. Now luckly I'm still in veg and the humidity isn't a issue yet but the temperature has been making me worried. Going to put togther a heater with its own temperature switch increase it drops below 20c.
Did some training over the last week with some LST and FIMing. With the LST every 3nd day I've been adjusting them and pulling the plants back a bit more and more. Since I don't think I'll be able to set up a SCRog net this go around (spent to much for Christmas and wont be able to affordthe PVC tubing) ive got to figure out something else and fast. Plants are getting big and it's going to get hard to bend then properly without braking stuff.
Because I was showing some issues with 2 of my plants I started adding a bit of Revive to my res to see if they get better and they have. But because of the cold that's been hitting us my tank has had a hard time staying warm. Even with my 50w tank heater it's been fighting a up hill battle because the area outside the main room where the tank is, has been sitting around 14-17c. So with that the air pump I use to circulate the tank, it is pulling in cold air and thats been fighting the tank heater in getting it up to what I like it at. I tried using my water pump instead of the air pump for circulation and the res went up to 25.6c soooo I would much rather have 19c res then water that could kill my plants.
So let's talk about the plants themselves. Both Special Queen plants are doing great but as you can see from the picture, one is doing absolutely amazing. Great growth (understatement) and has bounced back from training like a pro. The other plant is still doing really good when compared to all the other plants in the room but still could be a little bit better. Depending on what I'm going to do for supporting the plants this might be the last week of veg. Well see.
So the plants are finally starting to bounce back from there issues. The one on the left is starring to increase its growth by a lot. It's been growing rapidly over the last week. And the one on the rightbhas stopped yellowing and curling. Idk if the Revive by advanced nutrients is helping or if the plant just grow out of there issues but either way I'm happy. There still not perfect but there better then they were.
Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!
Well this is a switch. The plant that was small has caught up to the bigger one and the bigger one is slowly getting better. Was having a issue with my tank temperature and luckily both plants seem to have avoided any issues. They both do have a bit of purple in the stems but it seems to be fading so I'm hoping that there issues are sorted out lol.
Today is the last day of veg and the first day of flower is to come. If it goes a full 8 to 9 weeks I'll be looking at a March harvest. If that's the case I might be able to squeeze in a quick auto flower grow before the family summer vacation lol. The temperature has been getting warmer outside and the night time temperature hasn't been to bad. The humidity has been stay around 50% all week and thats were id like to keep it but we're expecting a lot of rain over the next few weeks so we'll see how well that works. I picked up 2 more temperature hydrometer meters with probes for the room. And with all the fans the air movement in the room has been great. Humidity and temperature is the same in every corner of the 8x9 room.
I switched the lights from 24/0 to 18/6 this last week to get them ready for the approaching 12/12 light schedule. And because that is tomorrow I lowered the lights down so that tomorrow I just have to turn the lights up.
I also emptied my tank and refilled it with the nutrients for flower so that the treys can empty a bit before I add all the new nutrients. I filled all the trays before I turned it all off so they would have enough for the night.
Well that's all for now, happy growing and happy new years!!! Keep it growing!!!
Man I just can't seem to catch a brake with this strain. Both plants are looking a bit wilted but there still growing strong. I moved my SF-4000 light up a bit to see if it would help. I was really hoping g to have all the issues sorted before flower but that wasn't the case. They were looking good them wham wilted... oh well I'll just keep a really close eye on them.
Temperature and humidity have been stable for the most part. Was having g issues with my dehumidifier tho for a few days. I believe it was over heating a bit and was auto shutting off. So the my humidity would spike up to 75-80% but luckily it was during lights off and I was home when it happened. After moving a few things around and turning it off for a hour it seems to have corrected itself. Good caz I don't really want to have to buy a new one yet lol.
For my nutrients I'm slowly bring it up. By the end of week 2 I should have it closer to 1000 ppm. I also stopped using airstones in my tank because I was having a few issues. Now I'm just using a water pump on a timer. Turns off when lights turn on and the back on a hour before the turn off.
I've got most of my fans now running at 100%. Only ones that are still only running at 50% are my two lower section fans. With them set to that I find the temperature and humidity at all 4 corners of the room are close enough that I should have zero issues.
Well that's all for now so keep growing everyone!!!
So had a bit of a headache with the dehumidifier this week. Unfortunately it was all user error this time lol. I've found if I turn it off for a bit so it can cool down that it doesn't auto shut off, the only trick is I have to remember to turn it back on.... yea so a few times it got a bit high... like 80% humidity high. Luckily it was when it was lights off and I caught it fast. Going to start looking into another dehumidifier so I don't have to deal with this any more.
Added Big Bud Coco to the nutrients today at the very end of the week. I cleaned out all the autopot trays and cleaned then floats a bit. Going to do a major line clean out at the end of this upcoming week don't want to have a tray dry out on me because of a clog. The plants are drinking a insane amount of water rite now. I switched to my 50L tank from my 100L because my water line frozen that goes to my grow room because of how cold it got. So I had to fill up a bucket and hand water my res so to say lol. I've had to refill it every 3nd day if that. I'm pretty sure that one massive Special Queen #1 plants is drinking the most but the others have to be drinking up a lot also. When I did 4 plants in just soil I was having to refill every 6 days. So to have it drain out twice as fast with just one extra plant is just crazy.
Did a massive leaf strip and lolipoping on yhe plants. Didn't take off as many leaves as I usually do. Don't want to over stress them. Plan in doing another small strip in week 6 of flower.
Well that's all for now. Happy growing everyone!!!!
So had to move the light up because I started to notice some yellowing in the inner plant and then I moved the fan up a bit because I noticed a bit of stress on the outter one that looked like it was from a fan. So far these two plants have been having nothing but issues. The buds are slowly getting bigger but not much. Be interesting to see there outcome.
Humidity has been staying within range the last week. Had a high point one night because I turned off my dehumidifier for a bit and forgot to turn it back on. I turned the temperature up a little bit after I moved the lights up. All the plants are getting roughly 1100-980 par depending on where there located.
Got a 100L tank set up now and have increased the amount of ppm and have been swing the Ph up and down a bit trying to keep ot around 5.9 and 6.1 but she's floated outside the range a few times. I find when I have the water pump circulating the water it drops rather fast. But if I use the air pump with stones it jumps a bit but not nearly as fast as it drops with the water pump.
Well that's all for now. Happy growing everyone!!!
Plants are coming along smoothly. Just finished week 4 and are looking healthy. Neither plant has big massive buds like the other 2 strains but both plants show zero issues that I can see. The stacking is really starting to kick in tho. Looking better then the last time I grower this strain.
This next week we'll be the last week I'll be running big bud coco and then I'll be switching to Overdrive for a week before I start flushing. I usually only do a week of flushing but want to if the extra week makes a difference.
I turned the temperature back down because I noticed a few times the fan was having a hard time getting the temperature back down to 27.5 and my co2 was wasting. Humidity has been staying between 39% and 40% with the dehumidifier running.
Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!!
Well compared to the other 3 plants, these two look the best. It's funny how that happens. The two ugly ducklings became the nicest looking girls of the bunch lol. The one lowest to the SE-5000 light is showing a bit of LED stress but not much.
The humidity and temperature in the room has been ok. Had a few some glitches with the humidity dropping below 40% by just a few percentage. I've also lowered the temperature a bit and we'll do so a bit every week tell harvest to see how it effects the plants.
Going to start decreasing my nutrients levels this next week before flush.
Well that's all for now. Happy growing everyone!!!
Well I had to add a few bamboo sticks to help support the weight. Should have done it a lot sooner but it is what it is. Start flushing tomorrow because the trenchomes are starting to turn milky. Harvest is about 2 weeks out and I've already got the next batch waiting lol. Well that's all for now Happy growing everyone!!!
Well one week of flushing done, maybe one more to go. Plants leaves have started to slowly hange color the last few days. And the hairs have really started to turn orange. Nothing to report from the last week so happy growing everyone!!!
Both plants are looking great with a 70/30 milky/amber trenchomes ratio and smell awesome. Now that they have been flushing for 2 weeks I'm going to harvest some time in the next 24 hours and then hang dry them. Definitely looking better then the last time I grew this strain.
Happy growing everyone!!!!
Plants both grew extremely well but I feel like I could have done better with a nicer nutrients. Plants dealt with stress really well and didn't show any problems. Smelled amazing and had tones of bud sights.
