• Planted all seeds in the final containers.
• Used Jiffy seed starting mix to plant germinated seeds in and as the roots grow they’ll reach the mix of FFOF/FFHF/Perlite/Lime.
• Lots of growth for all plants.
• GG4(1)/CP(2) are a little behind so I lowered the light.
• Slowly increasing nutes to full strength.
• All are very healthy with no signs of stress.
• Built an easier way to collect runoff water.
• Started to LST all plants.
• Added yellow gnat traps and mini fan.
• Deficiencies haven’t spread.
• GG4(2) pistils have turned orange and buds are fattening up nicely.
• CP(1) colas have really stretch and is filling out.
• GG4(1)/CP(2) are shorter but still flowering very nice. Both will have big fat colas.
• Just waiting for them to ripen.
• Raised GG4(1)/CP(2) to even out the canopy.
• Lightly flushed all of them, but especially CP(2) needed it to possibly fix ppm and ph issues and they should be nearing the end so it’s time to stop feeding.
• The smell is amazing and seems to get stronger everyday.
• Decreased LED intensity to ~80%.
• Stopped feeding and only ph water until harvest.
• Stopped the CalMag and replaced it with molasses.
• Buds on GG4(2)/CP(1) have slowed down on growth.
• Just waiting for the trichomes to turn.
• Pistils on the other two plants are starting to turn orange and trichomes are cloudy.
• Defoliated to open up the canopy for light to the lower buds.
• Harvested the top halves of the two largest plants GG4(2) & CP(1)
• GG4(2) 506g wet + 43.5g trim
• CP(1) 449g wet + 42.2g trim
• Hang drying at ~ 55-65* 50-60% RH
• Lower halves will remain in the tent to see if they’ll fatten up/waiting for trichomes to turn.
• GG4(1) & CP(2) leaves are starting to yellow - will wait until the weekend at least until harvest.
• Trimmed fan leaves off GG4(1) & CP(2)
• Going to do a dry trim on these 2 - hoping this will prevent the “grass” smell that I got after wet trimming and drying the first harvest.
• After 4-5 days drying, the first harvest is finally starting to lose the “grass” smell and stems are still bending.
Overall a good first grow. Grow was pretty easy. Plants were very resilient. One plant stretched and grew pretty tall while the other remained bushy, but had similar wet weights.
They didn’t start to turn purple until about 2 weeks before harvest. I still have the lower buds of CP(1) growing in the tent and they’ve really turned purple and have actually put on a little weight. I’m hoping the second batch turns out a little better than the first and the third batch will most likely just be for edibles as the buds are smaller. Buds looked and felt very dense on the first plant and dried fairly light though, but with a decent flavor and smell. Dried weight = 15% ~ 3.25 oz off the CP(1). Will have to update when the second batch dries.
