Another week down. Getting excited to put this one into flower. I've been playing with different types of defoliation and read somewhere that when a branch from the main stem has about 5 nodes that it's okay to clip the fan leaf at the base of the branch. The point of the branch base fan leaf is to support the growth of the branch but when the branch has enough foliage to support itself it makes sense to be able to remove it to promote growth elsewhere and not sustain the leaf that is getting lower light that the upper canopy anyways. There is much debate on defoliation techniques and I believe it's simply because there is no one right way to grow because there is so many different plants that have different needs and want to be in different conditions to thrive to their full potential.
