Hey peeps and welcome to the first half of my tester diary. I am incredibly honoured to be picked by fastbuds to test their new line of seeds which they have pending for next years release. I will be growing them in a mixture of soil, coco and perlite in a combo of plastic and fabric pots around 11L. They will be fed generic organic liquid fertiliser and will start in root riot cubes that will go straight to final pot and grown under a mars hydro tsw2000.
Update: after just 24hrs the seeds have all cracked and now in their pots ready for their first week.
6/12-10/12: hey peeps welcome to my 1st week with the girls. They have sprouted nicely and are developing their true leaves already. They all have their own distinct features even though they're still babies. Temps 25c r.h.55
13/12-17/12: hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. This week they are busy getting some more height and covering more surface area with their leaves. Temps 25c r.h.55
20/12-24/12: Hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. There is a beautiful variety amongst my tent with these ladies. All having different characteristics from the next. We are showing preflowers already which is incredible speed, so tune in next week to see 1st week of flower. Temps 25c r.h.55
27/12-31/12: Hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. We are in the 1st week of flower now and the girls are focusing on their final stretch and bud sites. But I will say fbt2201 is a beast and the biggest among the bunch. Temps 25c r.h.55
3/1-7/1: Hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. We are in week 2 of flower and the stretching isn't as noticeable now and they seem to be preparing those bud sites to develop and swell. I think I may have frazzled the fbt2202 as shes not responding to the feed like the others. Temps 25c r.h.55
10/1-14/1: Hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. So.. to start I have definitely frazzled the fbt2202 which is my fault entirely as I am feeding all my plants with the same feed. I will keep her going for the diary but she's not going to develop her full potential so I will do a diary for her when the grow is finished so I can give her better attention. Other then that the rest are doing well and packing on weight now as well as starting to create a plethora of smells. Temps 25c r.h.55
17/1-21/1: Hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. They are coming along nicely and no2 is still going. I have given them all my own names at this point as the strains themselves are unreleased. So no1 I have named strawcheese as the name suggests it smells like strawberries followed by a rather musky and cheesy scent. No 2. I have named some kind of pie, my reasoning is that she has a scent similar to the strawberry pie and had a similar reaction to feeding like this one. but instead of strawberry you get lime. So maybe key lime pie? No3 I have named tropical fruits as i get really strong smells of orange, citrus and pineapple. No 4 is called guava as it is uncanny to the smell of guava fruit. But I can almost smell something similar toa mix of sweet and sour apples. No5 i have called some kind of Berry as I'm getting strawberry and blueberry mixed. No6 I called pink grapefruit as I get strong grapefruit smells mixed with a sweet sugar. Temps 25c r.h.55
24/01-28/01: hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. We are in the 5th week of flower and the girls are starting to pack on weight and trichomes. The smells coming from these strains are unbelievable but most notably is their structure as the stalks are nice and thick and likewise for the bud sites. Temps 25c r.h.55
31/01-04/02: hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. Looks like the pink grapefruit will be the first to finish I will chop at the end of the week. The tropical fruits and the guava will follow the week after followed by the strawcheese, some kind of pie and some kind of Berry. Temps 25c r.h.45
07/02-11/02: Hey peeps welcome to another week with me and the girls. No.6 has been chopped and no.2 no.3 and no.4 are looking due end of this week. Followed by no.5 and lastly no.1 as shes quite hard to tell if she's ready as she is super frosty but her pistils are still looking pretty white but we will see. All on water no nutes. Temps 25c r.h.45
Nothing to report yet as they are drying but will update soon. im getting smells of strawberry and stinky cheese and is really resinous.
Update: wow! This strain is going to be the belle of the ball this year for sure. It has gorilla glue genetics which you can taste but it is overwhelmed by a massive explosion of fruitiness that has a morish taste that you wanna keep tasting followed by a punch that could knock down a seasoned Smoker. 10/10
This beautiful specimen was by far the biggest in my tent and she grew thick and strong with enough support to house fat dense and incredibly resinous buds. This frost monster is an absolute must for the grow room and has incredibly vivid colours on her 10/10
This has a really nice flavour to it. You can taste the fruitiness of this strain but has some musky fruity taste almost similar to banana kush. A lovely smoke that I will be growing again.
I didn't do too great with this strain but yhats more down to me then anything shes good plant but she didn't take too well to the feed like the others. I will be giving her another go soon where I can give her a bit more love and attention. Otherwise treated right this plant will shine.
She has a lovely fruity taste that's similar to strawberry pie with a well blended pheno of gorilla that adds to the fruit flavours of this strain. Good evening smoke.
Nothing to report yet as shes drying. But I am definitely getting a guava smell with notes of sweet and sour apples.
Update: after some cure the complexity of the smell has completely changed. She has the most unique terpene profiles I've come across. She has this fruity taste that's almost similar to wine but fizzy with a almost burned sugar smell and taste. Would recommend as a evening smoke as she has some kick to her, and due to her moreish taste you can easily overestimate its punch. Will be growing more of this.
This one was a joy to grow and the smell this plant gives off will leave you wanting some. She grew strong and tough with nicely packed buds. Will definitely be including this as a main to my tent. 10/10
She tastes very sharp with citrus like amnesia haze, but blended with a smooth grapefruit taste which makes her a good day smoke that leaves your taste buds wanting more.
Nothing to report as drying but im getting a smell of sweet grapefruit.
The grapefruit is string with this one, but there also a telltale taste similar to a fruity gorilla glue. This has made it a nice well balanced smoke that can be used more as an evening strain.
