River Haze Fem (Silver River Seeds)

FlorChaquena This is my first diary. I didn't know about the page, so I'm starting the diary with the plant in its seventh week of vegetative growth. It's my first FEM in soil. Good week. Great growth of the lower shoots from the tied branches and the plant in general. Fertilized on 10/12 with Top Veg and Green Explosion at a rate of 2.5ml + 1ml per liter of water. I applied 15 liters of water with balanced pH. I'll do the next fertilization by drip.

FlorChaquena From 12/13 to 12/20 12/13: the day started with rain in the early morning and a lot of wind. Let's hope the plant didn't suffer since it was tied up and I couldn't go cut the strings. The rain gauge recorded 130ml. The wind was strong but it handled it like a champ. The problem is that the paths are bad and I can't get in. I'll have to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to go see it. 12/14: temperature of 29ºC. Humidity of 63%. They tell me it's still growing well, the rural paths haven't improved yet so I won't be able to go see it today. Possibly tomorrow and I'll post a little photo. 12/15: I had to ask a friend to take me on his motorcycle because you can't get in by car, there's a lot of mud and the water from the paths hasn't drained yet. The girl didn't suffer at all. She grew more than 15cm since the last time I saw her. It seems that with the wind the strings got loose so I tied her up again. No need for watering since the humidity from Sunday's rain is still holding. 12/16: today I went to see her and water her. I was struck by the strength she's using to grow upwards, so much strength that it loosened several strings. I had to tie her up again. It marked to the point of almost breaking the stem at the tip, where I bent the plant. I put natural aloe vera on it to help it heal, hoping for good results. On the other hand, I watered with 20 liters and got rid of many white spiders, lots of eggs, and several bugs. Let's not forget that the growing area is closed off by native and virgin forest, there are all kinds of insects. I usually play music for the plant when I go see her, today we listened to the CD “Lobo suelto, cordero atado” by Los Redondos. Do you guys think plants enjoy music like we do? 12/18 - a lot of heat during the afternoon. It retains moisture well. Today I watered with a hose. I didn't find any spider eggs, but I did see a small spider. I couldn't come see her yesterday due to lack of time, and today I noticed the growth from the last two days. She's doing quite well. This week she's resting from fertilizers. I'll wait to fertilize heavily after the waning quarter. 12/19: as usual, I went in the afternoon before the sun went down, and I was surprised to find a lot of red spider mites in several areas of the plant, many eggs under the large leaves. I had to go back home to get Potassium Soap for a foliar application. I mixed 1 liter with two caps of soap; let's hope it works. Tomorrow I'll have to pay more attention to the girl and remove everything I can manually. Today is a full moon and it shines a lot, the girl feels it, she likes it.

FlorChaquena From 12/20 to 12/27 12/21: today I checked for pests and there was nothing but a spider with a well-made web stuck to the cane. I haven't watered it since the 19th, it retains moisture well. Tomorrow morning I will water it with a hose, and in the afternoon I will apply potassium soap again. 12/22: today it rained 20mm in the morning, it was cloudy all day. I applied Top Barrier (0.5ml x 1 liter of water) with 7 liters of water. I noticed a couple of discolored leaves indicating some nutrient deficiency. I will Google what it could be. I'm uploading a photo in case anyone sees and tells me what it is or could be. On another note, I adjusted the branches' strings so that the inner buds receive light. The spiders are under control for now. 12/24: today I went to check on it in the morning, and since I didn't fertilize this week because it was a full moon, I decided to put in a core of 50 of my own production worms 5cm below the wood chip layer with a bit of Solid Humus so that it starts releasing its nutrients for the new moon on 01/02/22. I found spider eggs on two intermediate leaves, a red spider, a black one, and two white ones. As you can see, the plant shows a lot of vitality and is growing steadily. 12/26: today was my first experience making cuttings. The plan was as follows: I used the branches from the fourth node (since I eliminated nodes 1, 2, and 3 in previous prunings). I cut at 45º, immediately placed the cuttings in a piece of freshly cut Aloe Vera, which I made a hole in the middle with scissors, between layers, to place the cutting for two hours; I applied aloe vera to the plant's wound to help it heal. While it was in the aloe vera, I trimmed the tips of the leaves on the cutting. After two hours, I placed it in a glass of water with the tip suspended in the water without touching the bottom. After that, I put both cuttings under a 50w lamp. They should stay there for 3 days; on 12/29 (tenth week) I will put them in a small pot.

FlorChaquena Week 10 - from 12/27 to 01/03 *New Moon on 01/02* 12/27: today I applied Potassium Soap foliar spray. 1L with two caps of product. 12/28: today I applied Top Barrier. 10L of water with 5ml of product. I found a lot of small bugs, you can tell they just hatched a short time ago, maximum 2 or 3 days. A friend told me that Top Barrier really helps with nutrient transport within the plant… we'll see what happens since on 12/30 I need to fertilize heavily with Top Veg and Green Explosion. 12/30: today it was time to fertilize with Top Veg and Green Explosion. 2ml+1ml per 1L of water. In total, I applied 17L of water with product and 5 liters of water without product. I applied the fertilizer with an improvised drip irrigation; I read online that you can improvise something useful with a hospital IV hose. There are no signs of pests at the moment. I also adjusted the ties on several branches. Since it’s my first time growing a plant in soil, I have doubts, how long should I keep tying it? Is it advisable to cut the inner shoots closest to the stem during this new moon? 01/01/22: today is the night before the new moon. At 6:30 PM I watered only with water, straight from the tap. I watered the soil and the leaves. Incredible how vigorous it looked after watering.

FlorChaquena Week 11 - 01/03 to 01/10 *Waning Moon 01/09* . 01/04: today I untied all the strings and watered. I think it's time to let the plant flow. The branches are already covered in shoots, and the tip has branched out enough. The fact that the branches were marking at the node influenced my decision to untie it, and I thought it would be good for it to rest these last vegetative weeks. Since it's my first time, I don't want to take too many risks. I'm worried about the climate. Small storms are forming with very strong winds. 01/05: today I applied 1L of water with two caps of potassium soap foliar. I also watered the soil. Lots of vitality and good health. 01/06: today I applied Top Veg from Top Crop. 3ml per 1L of water. I used 20L to water. 01/09: today I watered after 3 days without watering. I gave it quite a bit of water. After seeing the growth it's having, I decided to put a net on it. This week I will try to buy and install it. I might put one net on now and another at 50cm to support the buds.

FlorChaquena Week 12 - 10/01 to 17/01 *Full moon on 17/01* This week they say it's going to be the hottest week of the year. Because of that and the fact that the temperature hasn't dropped below 40 degrees in the last few days, I'm watering every day, both root and foliar. 12/01: today I did a foliar application of potassium soap. 2 caps in a liter of water. 13/01: today I fertilized with Top Veg and Green Explosion. 2ml + 1ml per 1L of water. In total, I applied 25 liters of water. I also tied up some branches so they could grow from the inner shoots. Absolutely no light was getting in, and the ones at the tip were getting out of control.

FlorChaquena Week 13 - 01/17 to 01/24 01/18: It rained 45mm. I had to untie several strings because there was strong wind. 01/19: Today I applied Top Barrier foliar 0.25mm with 1L of water. The soil was moist so I didn't water. 01/20: Today I applied 20 liters of water with fertilizer. Top Veg. 3ml/L 01/21: Today I just watered. Previously, I removed the cover I had placed on the ground so that only the soil was left. I added 5L of quebracho ashes and covered it again with the cover. 01/23: Today I applied potassium soap foliar. 1.5L of water with two caps of the product. The girl is still very vigorous and beautiful.

FlorChaquena Week 14 - 01/24 to 01/31 *Waning Moon on 01/24* 01/24: I watered with potassium soap foliar to prevent pests. The heat is unbearable, 43ºC, 80% humidity, and a feels-like temperature of 50º. Besides that, I watered with a hose. I also moved aside the cover and added 5L of ashes on top of the substrate, then covered it again with the white wood chip mulch. 01/25: today it cooled down. It rained 5mm and the weather changed a bit. The rain was very cold. I didn't water the roots. 01/26: today I watered only with Big One foliar, to fertilize both root and foliar in 10 or 15 days. I also watered just with water to moisten the substrate cover. 01/27: today I didn't water anything but I made my first clones before the girl goes into flower. I cut them and when I got home, I placed them in a container with rooting hormone. Last time I tried to do them with Aloe Vera, and it worked for me. But I had to wait 14 days for them to sprout a minimal root and I don't have that much time to wait for these, I need them to root quickly. I hope they turn out well because they are for gifting to my friends and keeping a couple to make seeds by reversing one. I'm posting a photo of the clones because I'm really excited haha. 01/29: today I watered only with water and soaked the leaves well to hydrate them. I also continued cleaning the lower branches near the stem. 01/30: today I watered with just water. I realized it’s going to be very difficult to control the height of the plant since it grows about 5cm every day. Today I measured it and it’s 230cm tall.

FlorChaquena Week 15 - 02/31 to 02/07 - THIS DIARY IS UPDATED DAILY! *New Moon on 02/01* 02/01: today I fertilized with Top Veg (2ml/L) and Green Explosion (1ml/L). In total, I applied 25L of water with fertilizers. I also watered the leaves because the heat this week was terrible, luckily the plant didn't feel it. 02/03: today there’s no watering since it rained from 2 AM to 11 AM. Approximately 50mm. The plant was already muuuch grown; I can’t imagine how much it will grow after this rain. 02/05: today I watered with 15L of rainwater I collected from the rain on 02/03. The plant looks strong and vigorous luckily 🤞🏽😍🚀🌱 02/07: today I only applied 15L of rainwater.

FlorChaquena Week 16 - 07/02 to 14/02 THIS DIARY IS UPDATED DAILY. *Waxing Crescent on 08/02* 08/02: today I watered with 30 liters of root water and with 2 liters of water with 4ml of Bud Breaker as a foliar spray. The plant continues to grow vigorously. The soil retains moisture well, luckily. You can already feel the change in light hours, and with that, the ambient temperature is dropping. 10/02: today I watered with Top Veg (3ml/L). I applied 30 liters of water with fertilizer. Next week the plant will start to Flower; today I noticed one or two tips with one or two pistils. 11/02: it rained 20mm during the afternoon siesta. 12/02: today I removed all the shoots that the plant had near the stem and at the beginning of the branches. It looks vigorous and is starting pre-flowering. I will report next week on the start of flowering as it has begun to show the first white pistils at the tips of the branches.

FlorChaquena Week 17 - Week 1 of FLOWERING February 14 to 21 *Full moon February 16* According to SILVER RIVER SEED Bank, this genetic variety has a flowering period of 10 weeks. I will count this as the first week of flowering. February 14: today I applied 30L of water with Top Bloom fertilizer. 2.5ml/L. The first white pistils started to appear. February 17: today I applied Big One through the roots, 1.5ml/L in 30L of water.

FlorChaquena Week 18 - Week 2 of Flowering 02/21 to 02/28 Waning Moon 02/22 02/22: today I applied top Bloom. 2.5ml/L. In total, it was 35 liters.

FlorChaquena Week 20 - fourth week of flowering. From 03/07 to 03/14 Due to the birth of my son, I couldn't upload week N 19. On 03/03 it rained 150mm. On 03/07 it rained again 90mm. Rain is forecasted for the entire week.

FlorChaquena Week 5 of flowering - from 03/14 to 03/21 03/18: in the morning, the wind started blowing hard, to the point that it broke a tip of the plant (as seen in the photo). I temporarily fixed it with paper tape. Tomorrow I'll add support with posts and sisal rope. I also added substrate because the soil was a bit dry after being completely washed out by the 350mm of rain that fell last week. 03/19: today I made an improvised support with what I had on hand in the garden. I used sisal rope and 4 quebracho blanco posts that were waiting to be used haha. There was some wind, and the plant didn't feel it. I hope that with the support it has and the paper tape I used to seal the broken branches, those buds can keep growing peacefully.

FlorChaquena Week 23 - week 5 of Flowering. From 03/21 to 03/28 03/22: it rained 150mm, everything was underwater except where the plant was. Luckily, it’s healthy and fattening up. The only two problems are the humidity in the environment (over 70% all day) and that when it rained, it had no coverage, so it got hit directly by the rain. 03/26: today I finally managed to go see it. I walked 400 meters because I couldn’t get through by car. It’s really big, several buds adding weight to the point of wanting to break the branches. I added more ropes to better support the buds, and I completely changed the rope because being sisal, it was getting moldy. 03/27: today I was able to take some (poor quality) photos of the two tops. It was a bit difficult. Next time I’ll be able to take better pictures. I did some defoliation on the lower part of the plant, and while doing that, I noticed a little branch that was touching the rope had mold (I assume it’s mildew). I decided to cut it to prevent any issues since I didn’t have Bacillus Subtilis to apply. I’ve already ordered some, so it should be arriving this week.

FlorChaquena Week 6 of flowering - 03/28 to 04/04 03/28: it rained 60mm I haven't fertilized with anything for 21 days. It has only been watered with rainwater since there have been 4 heavy rains since it started flowering. 04/03: it drizzled all night last night, probably about 5mm of water fell. There are parts of the plant that are very humid since the relative humidity in the environment is 65/85 throughout the week.

FlorChaquena Week 25 - week 8 of flowering - 04/11 to 04/18 Last week I couldn't go see the plant because it was raining all week and the place was inaccessible. Since 04/03 I haven't been able to get in to check on it. Today I finally went in and was pleasantly surprised. I haven't been able to apply any fertilizer to the plant for several weeks due to the rain.

FlorChaquena It's a plant that grows with a lot of vigor, its branches are very flexible. If I hadn't done apical pruning, it would have easily surpassed 5 meters. Whatever you give it, it eats; you can fertilize it in quantities and it will consume it all. I also have it in a 20L pot and it consumes a lot of fertilizer. It's a very productive plant. With better cultivation methods, better conditions, and more care, it can yield more than 3Kg. The flowering lasts about 10 weeks. In my case, it lasted 65/67 days. I cut the tips on 04/20 and on 04/21 I cut the rest. I could have left it a few more days, but there's a chance of storms tomorrow. Next season, I will definitely grow it again.
