I have figured out through the past few diaries that I need three photos in order to make it green and like me. In the future grows I will make sure to have a redundant 3 pictures minimum of a cannabis plant during its first week.
This is actually the third Banana Cake out of the pack that my girlfriend and I got but the second pheno I have grown of the cultivar. I will be getting clones of the other 7 for future grows to document.
She will be transplanted next week. This has been our favorite strain so far from our grows. Hoping this plant is even better than the last two we have grown.
This Banana Cake has been slow going compared to her predecessors. Kind of a shame because I will need to veg the other plants that will be ready after six weeks another week because she is so slow.
Nothing too much changed from last week other than normal growth. She's gotten faster and seems to be growing at a better rate which leads me to believe she got a little bit of transplant shock that slowed her for a bit last week.
At the end of this week I topped her and about two days later put her into flower. She was a lot slower to branch out than the other cultivars I am growing in the tents.
She had a slow run about 3 weeks in after transplant but now after her topping and sent into flowering has been doing amazing. No slow growth and branches are looking like a good stretch will happen. Some defoliation to take off weaker branches at the bottom and some leaves that get no light.
Some nice stretch happened. She's probably going to double her height which is what I normally enjoy in a plant to stretch. The ones that stretch 3 times is a bit much to manage at times. If I had a larger space it wouldn't be an issue at all.
You can see some nice purple coming into her flowers this week. The colorful flowers always excite me because people lose their shit over purple flowers for some reason or other. Frost....no problem with this cultivar. Every single time it's frosty af.
For some reason I only took one picture during the mid flower section. Not sure why but as I said in an earlier post I will be documenting at least 3 pictures a week to make the website gods shine their light upon me.
Looking back on the grow I could have definitely used another dose of big bud this week but I normally do the feeding as recommended on the bottles. I have now understood the stages of the flowers better and give nutrients at better times. Keeping on top of your game is another story and you are bound to make mistakes. Ugh....mistakes. They're a pain in the ass when you're a perfectionist. Have I mentioned how amazing this plant looks? Buying proper genetics is key to this game it seems. Finding those solid genetics from different breeders seems to be part of the challenge.
Beautiful big chunky flowers being produced. Nice shades of pink and purple and many of the trichomes when you zoom in on a photo or look at them with a loupe are purple trichomes. Guess it's going to take four photos a week to turn the photos & videos section green.......lol
This is the last week I managed to get documentation of this plant. I will upload the harvest pictures when I am able to get a good picture of the rosin she produces.
Very easy to grow. She was pretty slow to start but once she got going was a breeze. Her clones are nice and bushy and short which maker her really pleasant for indoor growing.
