Went 5 for 5 on paper towel germ. Transferred all seeds to their final medium at hour 56, soil plant was kept an additional 12 hours to grow to the size of the others. This grow will have tap vs filtered water, and soil vs hydro, to test results.
Disregard the flowering plant, it's leftover from last grow.
All 5 germed and transferred nicely. 240w LED above.
Mephisto double grape in front(testing soil vs hydro), Nightowl galaxy brain in the back(reverse osmosis @18ppm +calmag vs tap water @340ppm), and tastebudz mimosa in the middle.
Went strong through week two, all plants doing very well. Noticeable difference already between tap water and filtered water(with calmag), not too much difference on soil vs hydro, possibly the soil plant having a slight edge with growth.
Did some small watering into the soil seedling and will wait a few days for a proper water.
Week 3! Changed water out on 1/6 for the first time. Going ~2tbsp per bucket of each Flora nutrient, 9ml hydroguard, and PHing out to ~5.8.
Easy to tell but the soil and RO water plants are the two lagging behind at this point. I upped the calmag in the RO galaxy brain plant to 5ml/gal, going to see if its growth speeds up this week! humidity is dropping because of outside temps, but a humidifier is keeping it up past 50%.
Wanted to top one of these but I think I'll hold off until next grow and just use LST on all of these
Oh and that orange cookies is getting very close to harvest, and is FRAGRANT!
Well, the water change definitely got messed up on the mimosa and double grape, I think they got shocked a little too much by the full nutrients or more water!the others are growing nicely along and getting biiiig!
I reduced the water and nutes after a bit in the double grape and it started looking normal again, but it'll definitely be the runt of the litter on this grow.
All the plants are doing very good! A few have thrown out bundles of pistils so this is the last week of veg! Doing some lst on the larger plants to keep them low and wide, they were over 18" tall but everything is now sitting between 6" and 12" above their medium(dg on the smaller side). Also did some rearranging for lighting purposes and threw up a second 240w led.
The dg hydro plant did get topped around 1/15 and is pushing out it's new stems finally.
Changed water on 1/20 with 1.5tbs of each Flora series in each bucket with ~4gal of water, except the double grape, which got more like 1tbs of each due to it's nutrient sensitivity.
I'm very excited to see how good these really do! Being my 3nd grow, they are looking way better and waaay bigger than my first two grows, so I'm expecting some real heavy production in flowering
