12/22 - all 3 seeds of critical kush went to shit, 1 didn't pop and 2 molded before the root came out of the shell...no bueno.
I decided to run Purple Kush instead. I ran this before in my original crappy cabinet so I'm hoping for much better results this time around!
...growing so fast!!!
12/23 - and now it's on its own for a week!!!
1/2/22 - Transplanted her into the 5 gal pot.
1/7 - steady as she grows, not much going on up top as the roots develop down below after the transplant. She has not needed watering since transplant so I'm just waiting for her to dry up and be ready for the next feeding.
First topping will happen above the 3rd node sometime this week once the 6th node comes up. I'll clear out the shoots and leave the leaves.
1/15 - first feeding, forgot to PH!! Oops...fed addional PHed water...first topping tomorrow and mainline cleanup
1/16 - got the first topping done for the mainline. Cleaned up the rest of the shoots below. Excited to do a proper mainline for the first time!! Going for 8 tops
1/21 - pretty sure I overfed her! She will be getting phed water next feeding. She's coming along though! I may not cut her for another week to let her fully recover and start thriving again
1/23 - not topping her just yet, she is still developing that 3rd node on the 2 mains so I will shop her in a few days and clean up some of the lower stuff. Knuckles looking thick!
1/25 - feeding with just cal/Mag and phed water. She is growing well and will be getting her 2nd topping tomorrow or the following day. I'm trying to go lighter on the nutrients in veg this time.
1/27 - she got her second topping, shoot cleanup, and old leaf cleanup. I also used some 90* clips to train her down. This lady looks great!
1/28 - crazy how well she recovered in just 24 hours, fan leaves are so happy! I'm digging the 90* clips, they are much cleaner than the tie downs, not sure if I can use them for all cases but this was a good place to use them on her
1/30 - can't believe it's almost feb! Wow. Steady as she grows here, feeding tomorrow, she will get the full feeding this round. Topping the 4 tops after at least 2 nodes, may go 3, we shall see.
1/31 - feeding
2/2 - she's looking awesome, probably will top Sunday.
2/5 - reconsidered the chop, I'm letting her grow all the way to the edges to split her evenly. These are the biggest leaves I've ever grown.
2/13 - a little bit of LST to bring the branches to the edges of the pot and down a bit, then letting the 8 shoots grow long enough to spread out evenly along the edge of the pot. Also got a plain watering.
2/18 - she got her feeding and almost ready for the final training before letting her grow height
2/20 - finally got all of the top spread out across the edge of the pot. Also defoliated all of the older fan leaves. I'm not sure if I need to take off the lower shoots that are starting around each top...
2/21 - flush feeding, tops are starting to point up except for one weakling which I took the binds off of to let her get her strength back
2/23 - things are looking great so far, the one top that was weak regained strength and is back to bindings. This is the cleanest training I've done so far I think!
2/25 - week 9 nute feeding, same as week 8 minus the Kelp and the normal amount of Terpinator. I will be taking off some shoots starting on each top.
2/28 - she got a feeding and I removed the shoots starting at each bottom node on every top. 6.0ph
3/3 - I took off the leaves that were at the nodes where I removed the shoots earlier this week. Now onto gaining height. Looking tight!
3/5 - Flush feeding
3/8 - she got this week's feeding, probably some defoliation later in the week or I may save that till she's a bit taller, depends on how the shoots start forming
3/12 - little trim
3/21 - veg keeps rolling as she's nearly into the light, I need to move her into the flower chamber and leave her on veg light schedule another week or so to get the full height
Feeding tested a little heavy this time around, not sure why
3/25 - flush feeding, she's into the light, I'll move her into flower chamber on the veg schedule for another week or so and then flip

3/28 - I moved her up to the flower chamber to give her more space to grow height. I think 1 week in here with veg schedule and then I can flip over to flower. I will be removing some shoots crowding things up and probably a good deal of fan leaf cleanup as well
She got watered, I think moving here up made her jump back to life
3/30 - flush feed
4/1 - flush feed
4/3 - she is taking her sweet ass time gaining height and I'm getting bored with this grow at this point. I'm going to defoliate every other branch completely to the top to see how those differ from the ones that I leave more or less alone from this point forward. She is taking on a lot of water, every other day is a must.for?
4/6 - she got fed yesterday and needed more water today, she's showing a tiny bit of nutrient burn so I will be keeping it easy for a bit, I also chopped a lot of foliage out. Only the tops left and preflowers showing everywhere
4/8 - thirsty lady
4/9 - more water! Added cal/Mag, 6.2ph now, she's got something going on
I'm starting to see some burn and yellowing on some leaves way way way into veg....I've been in veg way too long and she's showing preflowers but I want a little more height. 6.0ph for the past 2 or 3 weeks with 1300-1500ppm...what's missing? Too much?
Magnesium deficiency, quite common when growing in coco coir.
Not sure what you are trying to achieve, but you must be a patient person!
4 months nearly and you have removed many more times than what is still growing!
I would be thinking of going into flower soon, you might run out of height otherwise.

Yo normalmente no paso 800ppm en vegetación para no provocar una sobrefertilización y luego tener deficiencias de otros nutrientes. Yo te recomendaría bajar los ppm porque vi que están empezando a quemar las puntas de las hojas. También subir el ph a 6.2.

She's pretty much as tall as I would want to her. Next time I will leavea lot more lower growth and just keep a 10" canopy from the edge of the pot rather than 8" or so above that but im curious how far down she will develop buds since there are bud sites and the light can penetrate all the way down there. I'm still learning so this is an attempt to see what severe defoliation does to the flower sites.
4/16 - cal mag watering, she got the flip tonight!

Last night I took out some shoots and a leaf or 2, pretty much just maintenance from this point, hopefully she doesn't get too tall on me
4/19 - chopped more leaves from the center and a shoot or 2
4/22 - light feeding and removed more shoots! This thing just keeps growing and I'm almost our of vertical space
Week 2 of flower, she's starting to show more buds but continues to stretch, next time I'm growing a 8 or 9" canopy and flipping, no sense in all the wasted space between pot and canopy. Backing off the nutes a bit also cause I have a bit of burn.
Had one top going way too high, so I bent her over...
I have done a shit job of keeping my diaries up to date, so much going on and no time to go through all these clicks to get everything uploaded. I may take a break from posting here just to give myself some breathing room.
Anyway purple kush turned out amazing, I tried stem splitting for the first time which was kinda cool but im not sure how much it helped if any.
